A tame stallion and a wild mare; a brave fighter and a food motivated fatty. No one would ever think these two would come together, but perhaps, against all odds, love will win. Twist of Fate|Stallion|7 years|Mentions: Elise The chestnut moved his head gingerly over the stall door and opened his mouth to work the latch. His nimble lips maneuvered the piece of metal with practiced ease, lazy ears swinging to and fro as his large head bobbed with the work. Finally the latch slide aside and the stallion shoved the door open with his broad chest. His narrow frame slipped out the door and away from his prison box, where he broke into a jaunty trot. A friendly nicker would be offered to horses who greeted him but he continued his trip. He was on a mission: find the mare who's smell taunted him in his boxy home. He followed the intoxicating aroma for a few acres before he found her, the shining steel plated beauty who immediately enraptured his attention. The bright moon shone on her bi-toned coat and the light mist surrounded the angel, completely overwhelming the bland coated stallion. He pranced forward on thin white legs, a friendly whinny escaping his depths upon his approach. He stopped outside of the metal tube corral, not wanting to make the angelic beauty feel trapped, or threatened. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT Elise couldn't help but yawn, stretching out her body from nose to tail as she listened to the humans going about their day. Fortunately they weren't any where near her right now. Not even the human the other horses and humans seemed to be declaring as 'her human'. Elise hadn't wanted a human, and although 'her human' hadn't done anything to hurt her yet Elise still wasn't sure what the human wanted from her. She wasn't sure what she thought of the human either. She made some funny actions sometimes, kind of resembling movements horses made but they looked odd coming from a human. By this point Elise knew she'd probably never go back to the wild. She accepted that. How was she supposed to make a new life here with humans? All she knew of them is that they were to be feared as they made wild horses disappear. Upon hearing hoofbeats Elise turned her head to see the most amazing sight in her whole, short, life. A tall horse. A horse that was almost as tall as her, the first one she'd ever seen, and not only that but it was a fire-coloured stallion. Tall with a lean muscular build. Was this real? Elise had never dreamt before but the thought that this was real seemed so very unlikely. Especially since it seemed the stallion was focused on her and her alone. Her corral was surrounded by other corrals and paddocks filled with beautiful mares, some of whom were also in heat, and yet this stallion was looking at her. She couldn't help but be drawn to him. Curiousity getting the better of her, Elise strode towards the other end of the corral where the stallion stood. It was a big deal since before now she had always been walking away from the domesticated horses and humans in an attempt to keep some distance between her and the humans. One day she knew she'd have to get over this fear of humans, but maybe if she got to be around this stallion some more she'd let the humans get a bit closer to her. "Hello. You're so tall. All my life all I've ever seen are short horses and... you're the colour of the sun!" She couldn't help but cringe mentally at how immature and niave she sounded but all her walls had fallen down at this unexpected development, taking with it her composure and vocabulary. 0 players like this post! Twist of Fate|Stallion|7 years|Mentions: Elise The chestnut laughed gently, not at her, but with her. "I may be the color of the sun but you, well you my friend are the color of the moon and clouds, the color of water and ice. The color of a full moon half obscured by thick clouds, but twice the beauty. My coat is pallid compared to yours and your breathtaking beauty and grace. Next to you, I am simply another horse in this big world. Tell me, they say you were a wild mustang, what was it like?, being able to run when you wanted and not when the humans want, to be able to stop and graze on the richest grass as opposed to being urged on with a cluck and tap of heels? What was your life like? Did you have a herd? A family?"/b> He asked, hoping it didn't sound like he was prying too much. He tried to ignore the sweet scent overwhelming his senses as it drifted towards him on the gentle breeze that carried the mist. He moved around to the gate and began to work the latch, which was slightly harder due to the fact that he couldn't reach it with his head over the fence. Mind if I come in? Or would you prefer to come out?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT If horses could blush Elise would have done. She couldn't help but be flattered by every word the stallion said. It sounded so genuine, so charming, and boy was it romantic! She came closer to the fence. So close she pressed her chest against it and was now in muzzle reach of the handsome stallion. Perhaps staying in this world of humans wouldn't be so bad if she got to spend time around this gentle-stallion. "The freedom was amazing. To do what you wanted when you wanted. I did have a family and herd but I got distracted by a butterfly - silly I know - and after following it I ended up lost. The humans found me wandering around the neutral grounds. I was without a herd then but spent time with a couple of mares. When the chestnut pinto, Nanto, was chased down by the humans I couldn't help but go to help her. I didn't even think about being captured myself but here I am." She replied, doing her best to answer every question. Elise watched as the stallion moved to the gate. Her ears pricked as he mentioned coming into the corral or getting out. She was impressed he could open the complicated contraption holding the wooden sticks of the corral together. She could feel herself becoming more smitten by the second. "Perhaps I could come out and you could show me your home? I'm Elise by the way. May I ask what your name is kind sir?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Twist of Fate|Stallion|7 yrs|Mentions: Elise The stallion listened intently as if the mare's words would change his life. At her comment about getting distracted he nickered, "No, that's not silly. Not at all. I often get spooked by butterflies, I like to try to test just how hard my rider's holding' on up there." He finished with an unruly grin before his lips and tongue returned to work, his large ears drinking up her every word like a thirsty beast. When she finished and asked if she could come out he replied with a flourish, "Of course, Elise, what a beautiful name. My home is nothing special, because I'm a stallion I can't be in a field so I live in a wooden box. It's called a stall but it's fun to eat the door." He nickered with a toss of his short, puffy, mane. Finally the gate swung open with a rusted squeal and the stallion stepped back, flipping his lips to get the feeling back. I'm Twist of Fate, but you can call me Fate." He turned around and looked back invitingly before stepping forward with one white hoof, his characteristically thin tail hanging just below his hocks was raised sightly with excitement of being in the presence of such a gorgeous angel. "Right this way my lady." He nickered, sotto voce. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT Elise couldn't help but snort in amusement, a horse's equivalent of laughter, when Fate mentioned keeping his rider on their toes. She wasn't sure if living in a box was fun, or if eating the door is fun, but she couldn't help but feel like it might be fun to live in a field with this fire-coloured stallion. It might just be worth finding a way to live with the humans if she could spend her time with him in a field. She could imagine him being there during the time the humans called 'training', showing her what they wanted and helping her through this new life. They could be life-long Mates if they really got on which it seemed they would do. She really liked his name. Maybe he really was Fate. Her Fate. Her eyes widened in awe at the sight of the gate swinging open. She was free! Finally free, and yet she had no urge to run off. No, all she wanted was to follow Fate and get to know him better. "Its a pleasure to meet you Fate. Thankyou for opening the gate." She spoke softly, slowly and tenatively walking out of the corral for the first time since she'd been captured. "So, what do you do for fun around here?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Twist of Fate|Stallion|7 yrs|Mentions: Elise Th chestnut smiled when she snorted, his own eyes lighting up. "Please," He replied, his voice gentle. The pleasure is mine." He began to trot down the packed dirt trail, the lights in the house had long since clicked out, leaving the flame colored Thoroughbred to his own night vision. He watched as she stepped out of the corral, her slender legs taking halting steps as if worried the stallion would shove her back in and rip away her new found freedom. He shook his short and even mane at the ludicrous thought, he would never do something so cruel, not after it was done so many times to him. "For fun, hmm, not much. You can go for a run, it's kind of a Thoroughbred thing, to always run. We can jump the jumps set up in the ring, my rider free jumps my friend, Rio, sometimes. We can graze, go for a walk in the woods, take a tour, or get to know each other better" He had paused, waiting for the two toned beauty to catch up to the long legged stallion. 0 players like this post! Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT "I've never had a reason to do any jumping before so you could teach me how to jump if you like? I mean show me how to do it like the humans want you to do it. If I'm going to stay here and get to know you better I suppose I'd better find a way to be avle to live here somewhat happily." Elise replied, picking up her hooves into a trot to catch up to the flame-licked stallion. He was just so tall, and big, and muscular, and oh so handsome. She'd never seen anyone like him before and although he was streamlined and lean whilst she was bulky and compact, he still looked just as strong and powerful as she, maybe even more so. She couldn't believe that this stallion hadn't caught some other mare's eye. Maybe he had multiple mates already? Was it too early to enquire about such a thing? She knew she was odd in that she wanted fidelity, just her and her Mate when she should have one, but she couldn't help her preferences. As strange as it was she knew she would just feel hurt, worthless and upset if she had to share a Mate with other mares. She would always be asking 'why wasn't she enough?' and 'why wasn't she good enough?'. That was no way to live at all. Still, she knew it would be asking a lot out of any stallion to just be with one mare. She feared she'd never find a stallion that would be willing to conform to her kind of relationship lifestyle. 0 players like this post! Like? "Sure I'll teach you. The humans like to do two kinds of jumping, there's the kind where you run really really fast and jump really high, bright jumps. Then there's the kind where you jump every jump perfectly at a nice, even pace. The former is called Jumping and the latter is Hunters. I'm not the best jumper, I would be a disgrace in hunters and my person says I can't collect, whatever that means. There's also this type where you jump natural jumps in the open, it's called cross country. It's not done by itself though, the entire sport is called eventing and it has three stages, jumping, dressage, and cross country. Dressage is when a horse shows off their natural gaits, it's too stuffy for my liking." The chestnut blabbered on until they reached the ring. The jumps were already set up, seven in all. They were only about a foot to eighteen inches high, Wendy was training a mare how to jump for one of her clients. "Alright," Fate began, " We'll start small." He opened the gate and walked in, leaving shod prints in the footing. With his muzzle he knocked three successive poles down to make a simple ground line. "Try this." He nickered, indicating the pols with his white tipped muzzle. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT Elise listened, fascinated, to what Fate had to say. He knew so much and Elise couldn't help but admire him for that. As they entered the ring she noticed his hoof prints looked different to hers. What she didn't realise was that they were different because Fate and horse shoes on and she had nothing on as she had not allowed any human near her yet. From how Fate talked about her it seemed that Fate's human might not be such a bad human after all. It seemed like Fate liked his human and it made her wonder if she might end up liking what she guessed was 'her human' too. "Okay, I'll give it a go." She said softly, breathing in deep as she summoned up her courage and cleared her mind to focus on the task at hand. Without hesitation she approached the three poles on the ground at smooth trot. Her front hoof hit the first pole, having not lifted her leg high enough to miss clipping it, and so by the second she lifted her hooves up higher and actually managed to go over the last two without hitting the poles. Elise was rather pleased with that, it didn't seem so bad, and so she turned back to Fate happily. "Whats next?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Twist of Fate|Stallion|7 yrs|Mentions: Elise The flame licked stallion watched the steel lady as she moved, enraptured by her flawless grace and beauty. Even when she stumbled over the first pole the chestnut merely offered support. "That's alright, the first one's always the hardest!" Once she completed her line he smiled broadly and flicked a thin tail in happiness."There you go, you've got talent for this!" Fate trotted to the other end of the arena, towards a line of four jumps about a foot to a foot and a half in height. It was a simple line, just a cross rail, a vertical, another vertical, and finished with a small wall. "Okay," He said, more to himself than the angelic beauty in the ring along with him. "Elise!" He nickered. "This is called a line. It's set up by humans to teach us striding, that's how long each step is. These jumps are meant to have a certain amount of striding in between that can be altered by the humans. The challenge is meeting that number." He picked up a trot and went to the first cross rail. He jumped it, then landed in a canter and counted aloud. "One, two, three," Then came the vertical. One, two, three, four," The second vertical: "One, two." And the final wall. "One two, three!" He grunted, putting extra effort into the 'three' as he practically threw himself over the wall. Fate stumbled and lost his striding upon landing and went a few strides in a cross canter, and that was why he never jumped. "Alright, Elise." He nickered. "Now you try it. I'll count your strides, just focus on the course." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT Elise gave a nod after Fate finished his explanation. "Okay, I'll give it a go." She replied before trotting around towards the first fence. Once she was in line with all four jumps Elise moved up into a steady canter as she approached the first jump - the cross rail. When she estimated she was a stride away from colliding with the jump she pushed off with her hooves and to her surprise managed to jump over the cross rail. Her ears flicked this way and that as she quickly remembered how many strides Fate had taken before jumping over the next fence - the first vertical. 'One, two, three!' With that she pushed off with her hooves again and just managed to clear it without tapping the thick rail. 'Okay - one, two, three, four!' This time she pushed off harder, putting a bit of bounce into the jump, and managed this time to go over the jump with a good few inches to spare between her hooves and the rail. Pleased with herself Elise pricked her ears forward at the final jump - the wall. 'One, two, three!' Elise counted, putting the same effort jumping over this fence as she had the previous one. To her delight she managed to jump it without touching the rail. Maybe she did have some talent to this after all. "I did it! I did it!" Elise whinnied happily as she cantered back over to Fate's side. She pranced beside him, tugging on his mane like a lovestruck yearling filled with uncontrollable energy. "I really like this jumping stuff, especially when its not to run away from danger." (OOC: Since it seems the admin of the RP isn't going to be active any time soon we could create the foals to our horses ourselves and roleplay them out together. I enjoy our roleplay together here and would love to expand it in the future.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Twist of Fate|Stallion|7 yrs|Mentions: Elise The stallion counted in a mumble as the steel plated angel jumped the line flawlessly. "Perfect!" He whinnied after she'd completed the course. "you're quite nimble and you're talent is amazing! The chestnut praised. Her form over the jumps was close to perfect, only a few tweaks from the humans and she'd be a champion. "You've got serious potential!" Her happy cheers sent his heart aflame with joy and her energy was contagious. He tossed his head and squealed, excitement bubbling up inside him for an unknown reason. Unbeknownst to the beast he was feeling love, something he'd never felt for another horse. All Fate knew was that this mare felt like his, well, fate, and he was happy to oblige. He laughed when she tugged his pulled mane and he returned the favor with a gentle pull to the mare's forelock. Then with a boisterous whinny he was off at a gallop, stretching out his strides as long as his thin Thoroughbred legs would go. He sped around the ring once, twice, then returned to the side of the object of his newfound energy. He pranced like a young colt ready to break from the gates and streak to victory. He remembered when he was young, galloping around the track as fast as he could, but with the memories of the wind in his mane and the horses at his back came the ones of the abuse he'd received. The whip, the spurs, the harsh voices, the needles, the drugs. His spine stiffened and he sobered for a moment, then returned to his love struck self and the beauty beside him. (OOC: I would love that, with Sollie's absence I was a little sad because we couldn't have the foals but that's a great idea! I really enjoy this role play as well and would love to continue it!) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Elise / 3 Years Old / Grey Tobiano / Mare / Location: Corral / Mentions: Fate / IN HEAT Elise couldn't help but join in on Fate's burst of energy. She whinnied happily to him, rearing up on hind legs to paw at the air as she watched the sun-kissed stallion show off what he did best. He must be able to out-run any horse, in Elise's opinion as she watched him run. After her fore-hooves hit the sandy floor of the arena again Elise tossed her head happily, ears pricked as she trotted over to him with a spring in her step. She hadn't enjoyed her life so much before and especially in the company of someone who wasn't family. Elise was pretty sure as long as she could live with Fate then she could live in the world of humans. To be able to spend her days and nights with him... Have one of those boxes the other horses called stalls next to each other and share a paddock together. She was sure it would be a lot of fun. Maybe the humans would even take them out together to do whatever humans did with horses when they weren't out catching wild horses. Elise was sure she could do anything as long as she was with him. "You're so fast! Its amazing!" (OOC: Yay! Should we use the colour generator that Sol had listed, and each of us choose a colour for the other's foal? For example you choose a colour for the Fate x Elise foal, and I'll choose a colour for the Rio x Estrelita *I hope I remembered the name right!* foal? Then after we can create the rest of the info about our foal...) 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 22/03/17 @ 17:06:21 by Bamon (Primal Kimanjano F6O) (#9657) |
