You hears waves in the distance, thunderous and furious, but you are not deterred. Your paws tread lightly on soft, damp sand, and you know you are close. A rumbling purr cuts the almost-silence, though, and you look up, tense and alert.

A she-cat lounges on dead tree, its roots and branches so wild you can barely tell which are which. She flicks her tail idly as she considers you. “Do you really think you have what it takes to join Coastclan?” Her whiskers are flicked with salt, glittering in the faint sun that pierces the canopy overhead; you wait her out, knowing confidence is the answer she’s looking for, not an empty challenge.

She nods, hopping down from her perch. “Alright, then. Let’s go.”

The waves get louder.

Welcome to Coastclan! This is meant to be a fairly casual, laid-back thread for people who want something simple and easy, and love angry cats. The mess that Coastclan finds itself in is one of dwindling territory as their cliff home in the cove has started succumbing to the storms that seem more frequent lately; the other clans further inland are hesitant to help, if only because the island they all share is only so big. Sure, they could swim the short distance to the mainland, but this is their home.

Maybe Coastclan isn't trying hard enough. Surely there's an answer, even if it means ignoring Breezeclan's threats of war as the coastal cats search for a solution.

1. The usual rules about godmodding and powerplaying apply, so let's just lump the together here.
2. Canon names from the books are strongly discouraged, and so are duplicates or too-similar names. However, a whole new world of naming possibilities is open with the island setting!
3. Leadership roles are first come, first serve. That being said, I reserve the right to reopen them should someone poof or be spotty!
4. Before posting in character, please post with the character sheet provided! It's gives everyone a nice little reference for your cat! Then post here with something neat about your cat (and their name)!
5. Y'all be nice! I doubt it actually needs to be said, but you never know!
