Devaki sat on slightly elevated ground, gazing around at the camp. Today, soon, she would announce to the pack that her and a few others would make their way to the Ookama Tribe to speak with Hestia. Devaki still needed to decide on who would be best to bring along. She had to have loyal and strong canines by her side, canines that wouldn’t be compelled to make the first aggressive move. It was crucially important that the Kumori Tribe did not sink the first bite of it came to war. This was going to be a dangerous challenge, going to an unknown tribe that they know little about, they had to be ready for anything. Devaki’s mind reviewed the members of the tribe. The deltas might be good to take along, if they could be talked into keeping their heads down and their mouths shut. Baatar, Asuna, and even Halberd would be good for this kind of patrol. Devaki let a yawn escape her throat as she listened to the morning sounds of the tribe. The Kumori Tribe was beginning to rise.

Sunlight bathed the den in which Sean lay. Honey gold eyes blinked open as the small red fox greeted the new day. Yawning, Sean slowly got to all fours and stretched. He shook out his fur before maneuvering his way around his sleeping den-mates, being careful not to wake them. Sean made his way to the entrance of the den and exited it out into the morning sun. He squinted at the sudden light hitting his eyes. Once his pupils adjusted to the bright sun he padded to his favorite resting spot. It was a soft grassy patch inside the camp that was always washed in sunlight during the day. It was out of everyone’s way and Sean often went there when he was waiting for something to happen or he just needed a moment away from all the others. In this occasion, he was awaiting Hestia and the betas to send out patrols, Sean wouldn't mind a nice hunt this sunny morning.

The white fae sat in camp, she was an early riser and often arose earlier than most of her peers. This morning she had collected some herbs on a short walk she had taken. She had recalled Sena, the Ookama pack theta, stating they their tansy and chervil stores were getting low. The white fae bad gone out to search for them, but had only managed to find tansy, no chervil. With summer coming to an end soon it was best if they stocked up and everything they could before the herbs go out of season. Astrid stood and turned to head for the healing den, now might be a good time to count the stores. She held her head in a low, shy, position while she walked, not to keen on drawing attention to herself as usual.

Orange eyes slowly slid open as Verne woke. He lay still, not wanting to wake up so early and just wanting more sleep. He moaned sleepily and rolled over onto his other side. Shutting his eyes again he thought maybe he could sleep just a little longer. A yawn escaped his throat but after he was completely still, the brute looked as if he had been asleep for days. His body lay sprawled out, practically hogging the entire den. He felt himself start to drift away again.

The old wolf grumbled at the fox and rolled back over, her eyes opened slowly and she let out a growl towards a wolf that was too close, she stood up and moved farther away and towards the entrance of the cave before settling down, she stretched her body out and made satisfied noises when her joints settled happily, she twitched her nose smelling those who had left already, her left ear flicked lazily as her brain worked out whether or not she should get up ande join the others, after a few moments she decided nope and fell back asleep

Catori Arose at the early dawn and had done a small patrol around the camp. She wanted to get a good grasp of what she should have her patrol look for while out, and so far nothing was out of the ordinary. She had already saw that her father's den was empty, more likely out to gather as many herbs as he could for the up coming weather changes. She was a bit worried of her father leaving the camp these days, he was aging, been aging. Catori had to shake those thoughts out of her mind and at the sight of her Alpha, she trotted to her side. "Good morning Devaki, do you wish for me to lead a patrol and or send one out today?" Catori asked looking up at her Alpha.

Sar had awoken not to long ago, he huffed and looked around the camp, looking for Hestia. He wasn't very sociable, but he took a liking to his alpha. A maternal liking. After she took him in to her tribe, he saw her like an older sister or mother of sorts, and only ever really made a conversation with her besides taking orders or giving. But even then, he still refrains from talking unless spoken too, or if had to lead his patrol. He sat down and let his eyes wonder around the camp. If he had no orders today, he wondered if Hestia would let him patrol the territory, alone. He had a secret admiration for exploring or just being alone to him and his thoughts.

'Stay low to the ground, watch carefully for any twigs or dry leaves.' Her father's hunting advice repeated in her head as she stalked the small creature in front of her: a plump, brown rabbit. She was on her own now that her brother had decided to go his own way, and she had to rely on herself to get food, and coming by a good catch like this wasn't something particularly common. She couldn't waste this opportunity. The young fae stalked towards the rabbit quietly, her ears flattened against her skull and her eyes fixed on her target. For a moment everything was still, then Blythe leaped out from her hiding spot, her teeth bared. She grabbed the rabbits leg and tried to bite down, but the creature kicked her in the muzzle and wriggled out of her grasp, running off into the forest. Normally, this would be where Blythe gave up, since there was no way a wolf could outrun a rabbit, but she had injured the animal, so she had a chance! She streaked after the rabbit, going as fast as her paws could carry her. She kept going, even when her chest started burning and her legs ached. She was close, and couldn't possibly quit now. A determined bark left her maw, and with one last leap she was upon her prey, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

She sighed and collapsed onto the ground, laying beside the now-dead rabbit, her tongue lolling out of her mouth. She was exhausted, but she was triumphant, and now she had some food. She didn't get to enjoy her victory for long, though, because as soon as she started to regain some of her senses she realized where she was. "I'm way too close to the Ookama Tribe Camp!" She exclaimed to herself. She must have gotten distracted during the chase and not seen where she was headed, and now that she knew she felt like biting herself. She was so close she could smell them! How had she not noticed? If the tribe found out she was hunting on their territory they certainly wouldn't be very happy; and if she could smell them, they certainly could smell her fresh kill. With that last thought, she pushed herself onto her paws and scooped the rabbit up into her jaws, walking in the opposite direction of the camp as fast as her exhausted legs would allow her.

Ximena lay awake in her nest, not quite wanting to get up yet. Today was the day that Devaki would go talk to the Alpha of the other Tribe, and even though she probably wasn't going along, she was nervous. She knew the Alphaess of the other Tribe was fierce. What if she tried to hurt Devaki? 'I'm worrying too much. Devaki's probably going to take some good warriors with her, she'll be protected.' She thought to herself, slowly rising to her paws and shaking a leaf out of her pelt. She took a moment to smooth down her fur before padding out into Camp, looking around to see who was awake. Her eyes settled on the Alpha, and she raised her fluffy tail, making her way over to her.

She wanted to ask her which wolves she'd be taking with her to meet Hestia, but she was already speaking with Catori, so she settled with a curt "Good morning!" before sitting down at her side. She didn't want to interrupt her conversation, and she was sure she'd have plenty of time to talk with her later.

Dismas growled to himself and rolled onto his side, looking outside, to the camp, with a rather bored expression. He had expected life to be more interesting now that they had the whole issue of the other Tribe, but he had barely seen any Kumori Tribe wolves at all, and he was starting to think they were avoiding the Ookama. 'Probably because Hestia scared them off. She is such a grumpy hag.' He thought, his ears flattening. He'd just hope today would be more interesting. He got up with a yawn, stretching a little then heading outside. He didn't bother to groom his fur, he rarely ever did. When he stepped outside, the bored expression was replaced with a rather idle, dumb expression, his tongue lolling out of his maw.

He was surprised to see that hardly anyone else was up, since he was usually one of the last wolves to drag themselves out of their nest. He would have taken this chance to head out of camp and go for a little walk, maybe even catch himself something to eat, but recently he had been leaving camp before morning patrols were assigned quite a bit, and didn't want anyone to think he was up to anything. So, instead, he'd find someone to talk to. He soon spotted Sean, the worried little fox that often gave him headaches, but right now, he actually looked calm. What a miracle! He'd have to see this up close to really believe it. He walked over to Sean, his tail wagging. "Mornin'! Did you sleep well?" He asked, tilting his head to the side in a pup-like way.

Baatar had been awake for a little while now, padding through the Kumori Tribe territory. Some mornings he just liked to take some time for himself and have a short walk, but he always made sure not to come too close to the borders. He wasn't sure of the Ookama Tribe, and didn't know if they'd take the chance to attack him if they saw him on his own. He looked up at the sun, seeing that it would soon be around the time that Devaki assigned patrols, so he headed back to camp. He knew that Devaki was planning on talking with Hestia, and he was hoping he'd be chosen to accompany her. He was curious to meet this other tribe, but wouldn't hesitate to defend his Alpha if they tried to harm her.

When he reached camp he immediately spotted Catori. She was speaking with Devaki, and from what little snippets of her words he could hear, he knew she was asking about patrols. He sat down nearby, half listening to their conversation and half watching the camp, looking to see if the others would get up soon.

Aphra's brown eyes fluttered open, squinting against the sunlight that had managed to creep into the den. She gave herself a moment to adjust to her surroundings before stretching and pushing herself onto her paws. She groomed her fur, only going outside once she was satisfied with her appearance. As soon as she had made it into camp, she spotted Astrid, her heart fluttering ever so slightly. She watched the white-pelted fae for a while before deciding that she'd try to talk to her. She didn't have anything to do at the moment, and she had been an Iota at one point, so maybe she could offer to help her? 'Yes, that's a perfect idea!' She thought, her ears pricking up.

She padded over to Astrid happily, a slight glimmer in her eyes. She opened her maw, about to greet her when Ruari beat her to it. She stopped in her tracks, the glimmer in her eyes gone. 'Guess I'll just have to find another time to talk to her.' She thought, lowering her head.

Hestia padded out, stifling a short yawn. There was not time to be watsed; the prey pile needed to be topped up again, the morning patrol sent out. Her amber gaze turned to her Betas. She couldn't see Lana, but Ruari was of tho the side of the clearing, talking with Astrid. A flare of annoyance rose in her throat, coming out as a soft but commanding yip. There was a time and a place for leisurely conversation, and this was not it. She wanted this patrol out especially early. The Kumori needed to know that she wouldn't be backing down, not now, not ever, for the good of her tribe.

Apurva tumbled from the Psi den, shaking bits of leaves from his fluffy fur. "Good morning!" He yelped to no one in particular, bounding into the clearing. The camp was as lively as usual, all talking and moving. But their Alpha wasn't joining in much of it; she sat with her assistant, giving simple greetings to the occasional passing wolf. Apurva tipped his head to the side in curiousity. She looked so... tense. How strange.

Devaki's mind snapped back to reality at the sound of Asuna's apology. "No worries!" she said quietly as he continued on his way. Soon after Catori approached her asking about patrols. before she could reply Ximena came to greet her, Liliana as well had joined them and offered Devaki advice on her tense air. 'Is it that obvious?' Devaki asked herself. The dusty fae gave a genuine smile, "Thank you Liliana" she said with slight amusement in her voice. She turned to look at Ximena, Devaki was beyond happy to see this little vixen, she never failed to brighten Devaki's day. "Morning Ximena!" Devaki smiled. Devaki's ears twitched as a familiar yet unseen voice sounded in her ears. Without hesitation she replied, "Good morning Hal!" She called happily. Her brother Halberd had been the one behind the voice. She wanted to speak more with all of them, but Catori still stood awaiting her response. "I'll leave that decision up to you today Catori," Devaki began, her voice had gained a serious tone.
"I need to call a meeting soon, I will be going to the Ookama tribe to speak with Hestia. Our borders need to be set and soon. I will be leaving the camp to you and Fenris until I return." She finished.

Devaki was preparing to have the meeting as soon as she can, she knew that most, if not all, of the Kumori tribe was currently in the camp. This was important, she needed to have all the members there during the meeting so that they could leave right after. Some still needed to wake and she wasn't sure where Asiam was, but he had his duties as Theta and she didn't doubt that he new what he was doing. It would not be too long of a journey to the Ookama tribe, but leaving now was necessary if they wanted to return at a decent time. Devaki did not know how long her conversation would go on with Hestia, nor did she know if this trip would end well, or.......not well....

The red fox jumped when he saw Dismas, Sean hadn't seen him approach. From what Sean knew of Dismas, he surely wasn't known for his brains. "F-Fine, You?" He chirped, his thick Irish accent more than noticeable. Sean asked the question with as little words as possible. Sitting up, He examined Dismas. Dismas' pelt was clearly not well kept, but Sean was not as rude as to point it out. He took his eyes of Dismas' pelt, not wanting to come off as ill-mannered to the chi. Sean kept his gaze on the wolf's face, glancing his lolling tongue and an expression that reminded him of that of a pup. The smaller canine sat back and scratched his left ear hurriedly, he was worried that he had already offended the omega by glancing the wolf's posture, but maybe he didn't notice. That would be great! The last thing Sean wanted was to be known as a rude and uncivil pack-mate.

As the white fae padded towards the healing den she was greeted by Ruari, one of the tribe's betas. Astrid was always a little nervous when it came to talking to other wolves, but the silvery black brute was always on the kinder side of things, which made her feel a little better about talking to him. "I was just about to count the herb stores-" Before she could finish she heard a demanding yip come from elsewhere. She quickly turned to see Hestia, the alpha, had made the sound, directed at Ruari. She lowered her head in a respectful and slow nod to her before turning back to Ruari. "It looks like your needed elsewhere," She said with a slightly nervous laugh.

Verne rolled over once more before finally deciding to get to his feet. He lazily stretched, yawning, before regaining his balance onto all fours. The black brute trotted out of the den before slowing to a standstill right outside the entrance. He scanned the camp to see what his tribe-mates were up to. Devaki sat with Catori, Ximena, and Liliana not too far off, Halberd near the bottom of the inclined slope on which they all sat upon. Verne glanced around some more, he spotted Asuna padding across camp and noticed Apurva, Arnatt, Anouk, Fenris, and Baatar lounging around not up to much. He quickly trotted over to the nearest wolf, Baatar.

As he reached him Verne trotted one, two circles around him before stopping abruptly in front of the Eta and sitting down. "Hey, what's up Pal?" He barked in a friendly tone to the wolf. Baatar was known for his even tempered ways, but Verne had never really gotten to know him all that well, 'So why not talk to him?' Verne thought, cheerfully, maybe Baatar would want to see his mad....hun-....fighti-........skills?
