DESCRIPTION
Ikkuma has a black pelt with a white throat, chest, underbelly, legs and paws. Small, triangular ears sit atop a wedge-shaped head and her tail is tightly curled. She has a thick, medium-length coat that helps keep her warm in even the most frigid of weather, tinted brown from much time spent under the sun. Her slightly tilted eyes are a stunning dark orange color, earning her the name Ikkuma (fire in Inuit). Despite being a bit on the small side, she is well muscled and holds a lot of strength for having such a dainty frame. As well as being excellent for sled work, the Greenland Dog is also often used for hunting Polar Bears and seals.

PERSONALITY
Naturally mistrustful of strangers and aloof in demeanor, in the past she preferred to stay away from other dogs and sometimes wishes that was still an option for her. Regardless of her own anti-social tendencies, Ikkuma is quick to assist other dogs or people if they are being unrighteously attacked. She despises bullies and won't tolerate their presence for long if it all. Though sharp of tongue and with a bite worse than her bark, Ikkuma is level-headed and clever, a tactical thinker who considers all possibilities before acting.

She was born a stray on a Native American Indian Reserve in Canada, living feral for most of her young life before one of the residents found her badly injured after a brutal battle from one of the reserves local wild packs. She was resistant to being fully tamed, but stuck around even after she'd healed for the warmth and food the man's home offered. Eventually she grew to trust him enough to allow him to touch her. By the end of the year he'd trained her to pull a sled and she assisted him in his hunting. Ikkuma sadly lost her beloved owner to illness a year or so ago and she was soon-after sold to her current musher by relatives.

DESCRIPTION
Standard for a Chinook with a light honey colored coat, a black muzzle and dark markings surrounding chocolate brown eyes. Ina is balanced and compact, her jaws powerful and teeth enduring. Her ears are large and pointed, though they have the tendency to bend and can appear almost floppy, especially during windy days. Her toes are webbed and oval shaped front paws turn slightly outward. When moving the tail is carried up in a forward curve, but when not in motion remains lowered and straight. Her pelt is short and coarse, but dense enough to keep her warm in colder weather.

PERSONALITY
Ina is a friendly dog with an easygoing, amicable demeanor. Not much appears to get on her nerves and she is increasingly patient. Quite gentle, violence is a last resort for her as she prefers compromise over battle. However, she will defend other dogs or herself with deadly force if there are no other options. The desire to protect and guard others has been hardwired into her brain since puphood. She feels almost empty without anyone to look after and would desperately long for companionship if left on her own.

DESCRIPTION
Cyrus is a large dog with a long, thick brown coat tipped with black. Rangy and deep chested, he has long legs and a firm, muscular build, almost wolfish in appearance with a narrow skull and blunt muzzle. He has round, expressive light golden eyes with a strong greenish tint. His ears are small and rounded while his tail is straight and bushy. His underfur is white and nose is the darkest part of his body.

PERSONALITY
As a wheeler, Cyrus needs to be both strong and focused enough on the task at hand...er, paw to get the job done, which he thankfully seems to excel at both. He's a generally amiable fellow with a great deal of patience concerning others, but can prove a bit impulsive with his own decisions when not hooked up to the sled. He's extremely protective of his musher and teammates, ready to drop the nice guy act and fly into offensive mode whenever necessary. He's a confident dog who takes pride in his skills, perhaps proving a bit egotistical from time to time.

DESCRIPTION
A tall, slim brute with a predominantly light gray pelt. The sides and ears are ticked with darker fur while the paws, legs, belly, underside of the tail, muzzle and halfway up the cheeks are all a light shade of cream. His eyes are shaped like almonds and a very dark green. He has a crooked tail, the result of a break that never healed properly. His nose is a pale, rosy pink color.

PERSONALITY
A sly wolf (or so he thinks) with a long-running manipulative streak. He will generally only team up with or help others if he knows it will benefit him in some way and probably wouldn't think twice about betraying any companions once they prove useless to his ambitions. Upon first meeting Marcel likely comes across as rather charming and charismatic, or else completely obnoxious, but underneath the friendly nice guy act is a rather nasty fellow indeed. He cares for himself first and foremost, often unconcerned with how anyone else might feel.

Surprisingly enough, Marcel was once a beloved pet. His former owner didn't seem to think much of keeping a wild animal in his house even though wolves aren't exactly meant for life indoors. Marcel was often treated like the most prized dog in the world. In fact, for a very long time indeed, he actually thought he was a dog. Marcel's home collapsed in on him and his owner after a particularly rough storm, killing the human and leaving him trapped for days before he finally freed himself from the rubble.

After that he was on his own, just managing to scrap by scavenging and stealing food from others. From a pampered pet to a lone wolf? Yeah, this hasn't been an easy transition for this spoiled canine. Marcel has never managed to find a pack he can stick with yet and even barely escaped with his life from the last one when their Alpha finally saw through his lies. He now has a crooked tail to remember her by.

The racket of snarling, fighting dogs had Ikkuma’s orange eyes flashing open in annoyance, tail uncurling from where it rested over her nose. Her tightly coiled body unwound as she stretched and poked her head cautiously through the entrance of the den she’d dug beneath an old, abandoned shed. Her fiery gaze landed on two mutts harassing some poor soul who had been unfortunate or foolish enough to wander about the reserve alone. A white Shepherd from the looks of her. Ikkuma could have easily ignored the situation and returned to her nap unnoticed, but she found herself crawling out from the well concealed hole in the ground and charging toward the brutes instead out of pure principle.

They were on her land and they needed to shove off. That was her excuse at the least as she jumped on one of them without so much as a single bark to warn him and nearly ripped his ear clean off. Both dogs turned on her and she expected the Shepherd would take this chance to run off. That was fine. Ikkuma didn’t need any help. In a matter of minutes the intruders decided she wasn’t worth it and high-tailed it out of there and Ikkuma raised her chin proudly at her success. This was the first time she’d chased off trespassers. Her claim to this place was still new after all. She twisted her head to examine her own wounds. Clumps of thick black and white fur had been stripped from her pelt, bitemarks marred her legs and sides, and her muzzle bore bloody teeth marks, but she was otherwise fine.

It took Ikkuma a moment to realize the Shepherd hadn't run off yet, and if the other dog had been the aggressive sort or even decided to attack her out of self-preservation she might have been in for a bad time. Silently scolding herself for not being more observant, she turned her head to stare at the other female with veiled curiosity. She was met with wide eyes, flattened ears and body language that practically screamed how nervous the stranger was about her whole situation. "Relax Snowflake. If I was going to hurt you I would have done it already," she commented, not bothering to hide the amusement lacing her tone.

"Go run along now, and for future reference remember this place belongs to me and I don't appreciate uninvited visitors." With that said she rose to her paws and began to limp back toward her shed-den. Her wounds stung more than expected and she toppled face forward into the snow with a pained gasp. Pelt fluffing out, she sat up again, her ears folding back a bit as she eyed the Shepherd as if daring her to laugh before examining her wounds more closely. Heart pounding erratically in her chest, she sniffed at the injuries on her side and legs with growing horror as it finally dawned on her how serious they were. She was going to need help if she were to survive the night. The kind only a human could give.
