For mentors you must teach apprentices these moves. Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws. Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control. Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed. Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent. Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort. Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed. Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position. Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance. Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight. Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed. Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent. Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers. Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws. Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat. Medicine cats must teach their apprentice. http://warriors.wikia.com/wiki/Medicine Windclan- Leader- Darkstar - Bitter Deputy- Quailwatcher - Sahara Med. Whitefang||Male||Windclan||Medicine cat||Mentions: Darkstar and Quailwatcher Whitefang had been sorting the herbs in his den when he noticed they were missing Yarrow, Burdock Root, Comfrey, and Juniper Berries. He stormed out of the den and yowled out with frustration. "Darkstar and Quailwatcher, one of you help me make a patrol. We need many herbs, we are missing a bunch of very essential herbs and they need to be found right now!" He said grouchily. He was always know to be cranky, aggravated, and loud when he did decide to speak. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Leopardfang||Female||Windclan||Warrior||Mentions: Whitefang Leopardfang had just returned from a hunt and she was able to bring back a couple of rabbits. She dropped them onto the fresh-kill pile and then heard Whitefang's yowl of frustration. Leopardfang chuckled, she and Whitefang were quite similar in many ways but also very different. "Maybe I did choose the right clan." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Darkstar | | Tom | | Windclan | | Leader | | Mentions: Whitefang, Quailfeather, Leopardfang Darkstar was taking a moment to rip off the burden of being a leader off his battle-worn shoulders, letting the sunlight cover his creamy siamese fur while he rested upon a warm spot in the camp. As he was, he took the chance to have his icy blue eyes graze his clan's camp, pride trickling into his heart. He saw Leopardfang returning from a patrol, setting plump-looking rabbits down into their fresh-kill pile. Though a rigid face held his expression, he was acknowledging Leopardfang's ability to pull her own weight. An ear flicked as he swiveled his head to lap at a scarred back leg that was sprawled out to his side. His tongue smoothed down his ruffled fur, but also passed a few hidden scars. Darkstar wasn't one to boast about the souvenirs given by past battles, but he didn't hate them, either. His attention was redirected as Whitefang summoned him and the deputy, Quailfeather, to a patrol. The urgency of the situation the medicine cat described made Darkstar's ears perk and eye lids rise. He heaved himself to his paws and trotted, big paws drumming against the ground as he made way to Whitefang. He said nothing, only giving Whitefang a narrow-eyed look before turning his head in search for the deputy. They could both go. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Leopardfang||Female||Windclan||Warrior||Mentions: Open Even though she wasn't called, the she-cat decided to see what the commotion was about, even though she knew it was about a lack of herbs. "Just letting you know, there's a clump of Yarrow near the camp. If you go out and head straight, you can't miss it." Leopardfang told no one in particular, but she knew the others heard her. She wasn't trying to trick them, she wanted to help but needed to continue hunting. She decided to head out of camp and continue hunting, before she could be questioned. 0 players like this post! Whitefang||Male||Windclan||Medicine cat||Mentions: Darkstar and Leopardfang "Ahh forget Quailwatcher I have no patience. Come Darkstar we will take the little ones advice. I'm sure the leader of Windclan can carry more than one herb without destroying it. If not and I am dissapionted we'll have to find the little one and bring her along as well." He said a bit of sarcasm lacing his voice. He looked into Darkstar's eyes and couldn't help give a wicked smirk. He might be entertained yet with finding herbs. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cherrypaw || Female || WindClan || Apprentice || Mentions: Embersun Cherrypaw's claws hit the ground hard, giving her extra traction on the earth as she races through the grass after her prey. The rabbit may be fast, but it is heavier than Cherypaw's exceedingly lean frame. She pushes off from the ground with all the strength in her body, tackling the rabbit and landing in a roll to lose momentum. She picks up her fresh-kill and, holding her head as high as she can with the large rabbit, takes it back to Embersun, one of the senior warriors. "Look what I caught," she says, dropping the rabbit at his paws. She expects the praise he delivers: "Well done! You could be a warrior now!" Of course he's joking; Cherrypaw is far too young and inexperienced to be a warrior, but she's doing better and better. She smiles and purrs a bit, then settles down to lick off her dusty fur. She drags her rabbit over to the fresh-kill pile and retreats to the apprentices' den to get out of the glaring light that comes with sunhigh. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Leopardfang||Female||Windclan||Warrior||Mentions: Cherrypaw, Embersun The she-cat had come back from the hunt with about three shrews and dropped them onto the fresh-kill pile. She chuckled as she watched Cherrypaw catch a rabbit. "That cat's got talent. Does she have a mentor yet?" Leopardfang said to Embersun, the apprentice's father. After hearing his reply, she decided to go back into the warriors den, crawled up into her nest, and waited until the next time she would be needed - or until she got bored. 0 players like this post! Darkstar | | Tom | | Windclan | | Leader | | Mentions: Whitefang Darkstar huffed. If anything, Leopardfang was huge and anything but little. He knew, though, you don't have to be a lean, slender cat to be a part of Windclan. Flicking his striped tail, he jerked his head as a gesture to begin their expedition. Darkstar was confident in his competence with herbs, and he knew common mistakes, such as mistaking fox glove for poppy seeds. He ignored Whitefang's crooked smile and remained stony-faced and walked towards the camp's entrance, stopping in his tracks as a flash of black and white slid through the entrance. "Good morning to you too, Lilyleap," he spoke, holding an icy glare, one which Lilyleap paused to give a side glance to with a green eye before slinking away without a word. Darkstar flicked an ear and offered a small smile before he trotted out of camp in search of the yarrow Leopardfang described. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Embersun || Tom || WindClan || Senior Warrior || Mentions: Open Embersun watches Leopardfang as she leaves to the warriors' den, thinking about Cherrypaw's mother. She had been a good cat. "May StarClan care for her well," he murmurs, turning to look at Silverpelt for a few moments. He sighs and flicks his tail, trotting out of the camp to hunt. He may be getting older, but he wants to keep his skills in prime condition. Moments later, he is hurtling through the grassland with all the power of LionClan surging through him. It feels good to run and stretch his legs every once in a while. It feels even better when Embersun's teeth find the neck of the plump rabbit he was chasing only a few heartbeats ago. Embersun likes knowing he can still take care of himself. It means he won't have to retreat to the dishonor of having others fight to defend him when he can't even do the job for himself. Embersun allows himself a few moments' rest before burying the rabbit and moving on to track another one. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cherrypaw || Female || WindClan || Apprentice || Mentions: Open Cherrypaw's dream is surprising, even by her standards. She usually dreams about the secrets of the moonstone, being curious about medicine cats' connections to StarClan, and there are usually weird twists to the dreams, too. But tonight Cherrypaw dreams about cats living on the sun. They call themselves SunClan and are determined to make an end to all twolegs. They ask for Cherrypaw's help and she replies, "But I'm only an apprentice!" The SunClan cats swarm around her, their flaming pelts brushing frighteningly close to Cherrypaw's fur. They hiss in reply, demanding that she join them. Cherrypaw turns and flees, the SunClan cats suddenly turning into a million twolegs that dance around her with the strange tendrils they often attach to their dogs. Suddenly a collar is around Cherrypaw's neck, strangling her, and the twolegs take their tendrils and hook them around her collar. They pull her in all different directions, until Cherrypaw starts to think the tendrils are paths. She turns towards a smaller twoleg and walks along the tendril until she reaches the end, and then the twoleg turns and flees. Cherrypaw sits down and licks off her paw, only to find that her fur is made of water. The twolegs all leave at this point; Cherrypaw finds herself suddenly alone. And then, thankfully, she's back in the apprentices' den and she's trying to calm down. The other apprentices are sleeping peacefully and the moon is high. Cherrypaw watches the clouds move across the dark sky until she is fast asleep. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 12/04/17 @ 20:01:39 by Kitty (#107570) |

Leopardfang||Female||Windclan||Warrior||Mentions: Cherrypaw Leopardfang sighed. She had been watching Cherrypaw (in a non-creepy way), and it had been getting interesting. The she-cat was bored and could not sleep, so she decided to go hunting. A few moments later, she returned to camp with a shrew in her jaws. "Now what should I do?" She thought (whispered) aloud. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 13/04/17 @ 22:23:05 by Katy (#109841) |

Cherrypaw || Female || WindClan || Apprentice || Mentions: Open Cherrypaw sits down and licks off her paw. She bruised it on a rock when she was chasing some new prey earlier; it still hurts and Cherrypaw subsequently lost the rabbit. She frowns. Embersun wouldn't have tried to cut that turn by going over a rock.... Cherrypaw sighs. No matter how much she tries to be perfect, she can't match her father's skill. She stands, stretches a bit, and pads around the camp until she's gotten used to the pain in her paw. Then she heads out to try hunting rabbits again. 0 players like this post! Like? Leopardfang||Female||Windclan||Warrior||Mentions: Cherrypaw Leopardfang smiled with amusement at Cherrypaw, then padded over to her, "You know, you can't match your father's hunting strategies. You'll find your own way to do it." She walked to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a small shrew, then went back to the young apprentice. She dropped the prey, took a few bites out of it, and then pushed the rest towards Cherrypaw. "Here." Leopardfang said, before sitting down next to her. 0 players like this post! Like? |
