The Northern horses have lived an easy going life until recently. A horrible drought has struck the land, and the horses are left with no water and little grass to graze on. They are lucky to find anything green in their lands now. They must leave and head south in search of a new home. They have traveled for miles on end, in hopes of finding somewhere to thrive. The Northern herd is unaware that there is already a herd inhabiting the area they are approaching.


The Southern herd runs these lands, and it’s up to decide what they will do when the northern herd reaches their grounds.

~ Lead mares and Lead stallions are not required to be mates, but this is an option if both players agree.
~ Please post your character on the character sheets thread, but STAY SUBSCRIBED to this thread as well, I will notify people that their characters are accepted and post updates, on this thread!
~ It is up to the lead mare and lead stallion if the other stallions in the herd are allowed to take a mate
~ Please use correct grammar and write at least one paragraph minimum per role
~ Try to be active, if you are gone for more than three days I will pm you. Then if you still fail to respond for two days you will be kicked from the rp. If you plan to be gone for a while please Pm me =)

~ I reserve the right to deny any characters I feel are overpowered, to vague, etc.
~ Ignore rule five and add “Neigh” in ‘other’ instead.

Lead Mare~ This mare accompanies the lead stallion in his responsibilities, she is the most respected mare of the herds, and generally the most respected horse in the herd as a whole.

Lead Stallion~ This Stallion is responsible for leading the herd and keeping them safe, He is the most respected stallion in the herd.


Healer~ This horse is very skilled in herbology and tends to sick or injured horses, a very respected and valued member of the herd.

Guards~ these horses are almost always stallions that have no desire to leave their current herd and create their own. They could have either grown up in their current herd, or have ventured from a different herd and became loyal to a new herd. It is up to the lead mare and stallion to decide whether or not these stallions may take a mate. They protect the herd from danger and ensure their safety.

Scout~ This horse travels ahead of the hedd every so often, to make sure they aren't heading for a dangerous area. They scout out unsettling territory and are always expecting the worse, these horses generally carry bold, confident, and brave character traits.

Herd Mares~ These mares are the mud ranking members of the herd, they are cared for and treated well. They are there to help whenever it is needed.

Subordinate Colts~ These horses are colts under the age of 2 that have yet to decide what they wish to do with their life. They could choose to stay in their current herd and become a guard, challenge the current lead stallion (Colts almost always lose this fight), leave their current herd in search of creating their own (by either collecting mares or challenging a rival lead stallion), or leave their current herd and join another as a guard.

Nobles~ These are the elderly of the herd, they are treated with much respect and their stories give great wisdom to those who listen.

Foals~ The foals of the herd usually stick around with their dam until they are old enough to make their own decisions.
