I can answer the first two for you:
No, you are not breaking the rules by having two accounts! However, two accounts is the maximum number of accounts that you can have.
You are allowed to transfer items, lions, etc. in between the two accounts.

As for the activation code.. Perhaps check your spam folder?
If it still isn't there, use this link: http://www.lioden.com/activate.php
You can resend the activation code to your email there.

1) Yes, you can have a Main account and a Side account. You can send as many items between your two accounts as you want, with no consequence. They are your accounts only.
The max amount of accounts per person is 2. For more info about accounts, check the Terms of Service here!

2) You can trade almost anything between your accounts, the only thing you can't is Event Currency.
