This feature would be separate from normal hunting, functioning more like other NPC features. Once a day each player would be able to buy a guided hunt for silver beetles. - Due to the items that can be obtained, I'm thinking something like 150 SB a hunt, comparable to slots in expense but limited by being once a day. (Meaning there are some nice rare items you can get but unlike slots you can't try every hour so those items should still be rare to find.) I'm thinking maybe a trio of guides, each offering a slightly different sort of hunt. Maybe they could be a family of pied crows or something else that kinda makes sense (does a lot of scouting, scavenging, and would eat silver beetles if given the chance?) - One would specialize in "Great Hunts" offering a chance at rare or extra carcasses. - Another would focus on "Foraging Hunts" and offer a chance at smaller critters, amusement items, and non-carcass foods. - The last would attempt to guide you to whatever that damn quest snake has you trying and failing to find. Maybe 30-50% success rate? "Questing Hunt." You would be able to select up to 10 lionesses for this special hunt, each loosing 1 hunt and gaining the same benefits as a normal hunt (stats, EXP.) - Since this is a different sort of hunt it would take 1 hour to complete. - They would be unable to go on normal hunts until they return. - Unlike normal hunts, there would be heavy emphasis on the skill stat. Or perhaps just level, keep it simple. - Skilled/leveled hunters would have access to different "tiers" of items for each hunt type or better odds of completing the quest. Much like higher scores in daily games open up a new tier of prizes. While on a Great Hunt, your lionesses would be able to obtain carcasses they normally cannot hunt at appropriate rarities and/or more than two carcasses at once. - For example, 10 very skilled lionesses would have a rare chance at bringing home an elephant carcass. Other rare hunts might be hippos, rhinos, and crocodiles. - Perhaps completing a difficult hunt would give bonus stats, since many large carcass items do not provide anything but food. - But keep in mind great hunts would not always result in rare/large prey for bonuses, you might just get four Dik Diks or something. Foraging Hunts would essentially be gathering expeditions where the lionesses would return with a handful of items of varying usefulness (maybe 3-7 things.) - These things could include a range of critters and toys varying from painfully common and useless to some that provide stats like turtle eggs and kudu horns. Maybe even a rare chance at honey combs and giant tortoises? (rarity on par with Slots and Serengeti Shuffle.) - These hunts would not provide bonus stats for rare finds, since the rare finds themselves often provide stats or EXP. Questing Hunts are pretty self explanatory. - Even if your lionesses fail to hunt the right animal, they will likely at least return with something else like a normal hunt. These hunts would not allow for every item or carcass in the game. Much like the daily games there would be a set pool of things that could appear. If the admins like the sound of this, it would be up to them to decide which items to include. The items I list are examples, most of which are available through explore encounters or other games and are not event exclusive. Exclusive items should probably be kept exclusive. - Perhaps, like some of the games and NPCs, there would also be a rare chance of finding decor and backgrounds specific to these hunts. Anyway, if you made it to the bottom of this wall of text, let me know what you think! Too much effort in coding to be worth it or it sounds fun? |

I think it sounds really fun, especially since I never really actually find what that snake asks me to! XD ![]() |
