Colors of Magic
There are two different tiers of magic with the lower tier being split between warm and cool magic, while the higher, or grand, tier is reserved for those who possess the abilities of both warm and cool magic. Choosing whether to practice a cool or warm magic is important as it makes the other magics within that group easier to learn, while the opposite increasingly harder till the point it seems impossible. However, as can be demonstrated by both white and black magic users, it is fully possible to achieve control over all of the lower tiers and unlock a whole new level of power.
Grand Magic
★ White
White magic is the highest form of magic alongside black magic and is associated with healing and life, despite its relation to the spirit and air elements. White magic users are capable of flight, seances, and healing of mind, body, and spirit on top of the other forms of magic. Cauldrons and chalices are used to center magical energy. White magic users dress in white and wear jewelry made of opal, moonstone, quartz, and pearl.
★ Black
Black magic is thought to be the more destructive and "impure" form of high tier magic due to its connection to death. It's of both the spirit and earth elements, allowing black magic users to ground themselves in both a metaphorical and literal sense, summon malevolent spirits, and perform necromancy on top of the abilities they may have gained from their other magics.
