>> These dogs live in a world where humans do not exist, or at least not yet. The land is still wild and vast, and in this current setting, would take place in Iceland.

>> Wolves have been extinct for at least 50 years, or so the majority of pure-blooded dogs believe. They were killed off due to an increase in disease believed to be carried by them. The only wolf blood that is said to still exist would live on in nomadic clans, or undiscovered loners and rogues. It is thoroughly diluted now by enough dog blood that most wolfdog's are not easily recognized (this was until the Blackback Guard showed up)

>> These dogs are intelligent enough to have invented tools and weapons to benefit them. However, they are still dogs and their use is likely limited, and the wares themselves do not last very long/break quite easily. Most tools would have been crafted from stone and wood, perhaps being able to create metals from melting certain minerals and rock.

>> The more accessories, generally the more respected or wealthy the dog is. High Lords can often be seen wearing rare jewels and stones that are usually stolen once that particular dog is either killed or dies from natural causes. The Blackback guard loves to steal shiny things.

>> The Highvalley Court's religion is that of Christianity. They worship God.

>> The Blackback Guard finds humour in the Highvalley Court's religion. They believe it to be foolish, and it isn't unusual to find them mocking their religion as a use of insult. The Blackback Guard worships a number of God's, the most notable Odin, Thor, and Freyr. They believe that when they die they go to Asgard, and to the hall within it known as Valhalla.
