((Crap I did this a bit backwards....)) Name: Shadowstripe Desired Rank: Warrior Roleplay Sample Prompt: #2 Roleplay Prompt Response: Shadowstripe sat by the food pile watching as apprentices took meals to queens and elders with sour looks, but little complaining. His own meal was a fat juicy dove, he sat there dutifully grabbing mouthful, after mouthful of feathers and ripping them from the skin of his meal before spitting them out with a fierce shake of his head. He had just spit a father large mouthful out when he saw a young white and caramel kit clumsily chasing about one of his feather pile that had been caught up in a mercifully cool breeze. Pouncing on it... or trying to, He stood up to return the wayward kit to its mother before it got lost when a dark shadow flashed across his vision. The kit stumbled in a failed pounce and rolled down a slight hill crying out as it tumbled, causing the hawk to falter and grab only dust. Shadowstripe saw the hawk above readying for another pass at the kit and rushed forward with no other thought than ensuring the kits safety. He skidded to a stop over the white furballs trembling, crying body and pressed himself low so that he could better maul the offending threat should it decide it still wanted a taste of cat. The predator decided to make for easier meals elsewhere and left, once he was sure the threat was gone he picked up the quiet but still trembling by the scruff and made his way into the nearby queens den. Shadowstripe found the female who smelled most like the kit in his jaws and placed her back at the sleeping females side where she curled up and slept. Not waiting for praise or thanks or even acknowledgement he left and returned to his meal as if nothing had happened, unaware that the deputy had seen it all. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Squirrelpaw (Squirreltree) Desired Rank: Apprentice - Shadow is her mentor. Roleplay Sample Prompt: #2 Roleplay Prompt Response: She was the kit... Is that good enough? ![]() |

Name: Pigeonkit Desired Rank: Kit? Roleplay Sample Prompt: 2# Roleplay Prompt Response: A lithe form slinked through the pristine snow, her paws going numb from the constant unbridling unsuccessful search of prey. Being an experienced hunter now, PigeonEye knew that this was no small dilemma, but an ominous sign. She and a hunting party of three warriors had been sent out to hunt hours ago, and yet still, the terrain seemed barren, devoid of a stable amount of prey to feed their clan. The she-cat shivered and paused for a moment to survey they area, her fellow clan-mates halted and watched her with weary appearances, each thin and poignant. PigeonEye ignored them, an unshattered defiance and determination to serve her clan burning within her. If they did not bring back food when they returned, why return anyway. She was willing to die for her clan, even if she would die for a cause that might be remembered as pitiful foolhardy stubbornness. "PigeonEye." A raw voice intruded her thoughts. "We should turn back and report to our clan. We've done all we could to..." "Turn back then, return with the pitful news without taking action beforehand. I'm sure the kits would love to hear it from their role models, their guardians even? To hear that they themselves couldn't retrieve a single item of food for their growing famine?" She turned to the warrior who spoke, head lifted defiantly. He backed away, empty eyes glistening with shame, and... pity? PigeonEye looked around at her assorted cats, they all seemed thin and defeated. With lowered ears, she sighed, curling her tail tight around herself. "No... I cannot, I just can't. Do as you wish, but I can't abandon this plight." With another glance at her cats, PigeonEye rose to her feet and headed for their clan's border. If there was no prey within their boundaries than she would hunt further. Behind her, the lithe hunter could hear many paw steps following close behind, her hunting crew had decided to accompany her. She weakly smiled with silent gratitude and looked at her loyal friends, and she silently thanked Starclan for the clan that she was born into. After a long silent time trudging through the snow, they reached the lake that laid on the edge of their territory. It was frozen over, and newly formed ice shimmered in the moonlight. Without much thought or hesitation, PigeonEye moved onto the ice and made for the other side, her clan mates followed diligently. Suddenly, the veil of silence around them was shattered as a large cracking sound followed by a splash echoed in the night. A yowl of fear made PigeonEye's body shudder. She swerved around eyes wide and back arched, eyes full of shock and uncertainty. There, frantically flailing in the frigid water was one of the warriors, her head struggling to stay above water. Quickly, she tried to approach the struggling she-cat but soon understood that it wouldn't be that simple, the ice was breaking under their paw's at a frightening rate. "Scatter! I'll help her!" A dark brown tom crept towards the she-cat, the ice splintering beneath him. Having full faith in the tom, PigeonEye fled towards the shore, another warrior close behind. There on the banks of the lake, they panted, exhausted. Both of them hoped for the best as they looked across the lake at the two still in peril. PigeonEye felt guilt overwhelm her as she watched the pair, and that defiance within her vanished. Only an empty fatigue remained, she then wanted to return home. :3 ![]() Edited on 29/05/17 @ 18:45:56 by Inkspectra (#105232) |
