The plot is about a curse that was placed on a small town called Terse by a witch. You may be wondering what the curse was. Well, the curse was exactly what she said. A few months after the witch had made vow of cursing the town, what was spring was now a chilling winter, that didn't seem to end. It made all the towns people panick, they now knew the old woman was right. They fear now the words she said, "Let the beasts of night feast on you unworthy souls." Nobody knew what these beasts were and where they were, but they have a feeling they will be meeting them soon.

Meanwhile, far away in the northern side of the mountains.. Dragons had lived there. No one had known that, or at least not anymore. Not even a single person in the town even knows dragons exist, they were just myths to them. No, they were real, just as real as you and me. They have there own civilization that is hidden inside the mountain. But when the vow of the witch was placed, their mountain began to deteriorate from under their feets. They had to evacuate the mountain now taking shelter in the woods that were down at the foot of the mountain. Getting even closer to the town of Terse.

Kyle Kingston | Male | 18 | Huntsman | Location: Town Streets | Mentions: None (open )

He gave a small huff, the cold air reminiscing his hot breath as it made a small mist form with his released air. He had his crossbow in his hand, keeping it beside him. He had awoken up early today, due to the fact that it was propably the perfect conditions to go hunting. He needed to take the adavantage of this rare time. It has been blizzards after blizzards these past few days, and he needed to hunt in order to provide food for the towns people. I hope the animals were not disturbed by the odd weather. he thought to himself, knowing he was lying to himself. He knew everything will be effected by the random spurse of winter. It was spring before this happen, so baby animals would have died easily by this hard winter. They wouldn't have food, or at least it was limited. He couldn't help but feel worried for the future of his town.

He walked by the small shops that overflow the sides of the road, trying to find the baker shop to get something to eat. He hoisted his crossbow onto his shoulder, and into it's sheath that he carried that ran across his chest. Today he was wearing his normal thick coat with some long pants to go along with it. His eyes averted from one shop to the next until he finally caught eyes on the baker's shop. Everything seemed to be quiet in town as he heard his own footsteps as he sauntered towards the door. He opened it with ease as it made a small creak noise. Once inside, he walked over to the small counter that separated the customers from the bakers. The baker had been an old man, he gave a small smile to Kyle. He returned the smile to the baker and spoke. " May I get one loaf of bread, fresh please?" he said with a calm voice. The baker nodded as he walked over to a wooden table in the back and started working on making his request. He stood there, leaning against the counter as he awaited his bread.

Mortuus | Male | 1,385 | Rouge | Location : Ouskirts of the woods | Mentions: None (open)

His eyes opened, his large head turned as he got up from his slumber. He had been awoken by a bird's chirping, his ghostly eyes narrowed as honed onto the small bird that layed perched on a tree. " Quite you peice of meat." he muttered in anger as he swiped at the tree with his claws, aiming for the bird. The bird was silenced, and the atmosphere was quiet once again. The dragon gave a small smirk as he grabbed the dead bird off of his front claw and into his mouth. You made such a delicious appetizer little bird.. he thought to himself as his grin lowered as well as his body. He was hidden beneath a mountain of snow, and all that showed was his rigid back and it's many treasures.

Sterre van Asch ★ Female ★ 19 Years Old ★ Jeweler's Apprentice ★ Outfit
Location: Town Streets ★ Mentions: Kyle [Briefly]

A sigh escaped Sterre's lips as she looked at the weather outside. It looked just as cold as it had for the past few days, and she needed to run some errands. She had been trying to stay indoors as much as possible ever since the curse fell upon the village, and she was starting to run out of food. "Looks like we'll have to stop at a few shops today, Arie." She said, looking over to her shaggy brown dog. Hearing his name, Arie raised his head to look at Sterre, his tail wagging. She smiled at the dog before throwing on a simple blue cloak and white gloves. She then reached for a necklace with a golden locket as it's pendant, putting it on around her neck. She took a few moments to admire the piece of jewelry before heading outside, her dog following closely behind. As she stepped out of the door she looked towards the forest for a few moments, remembering the elderly woman's words, 'let the beasts of the night feast on your unworthy souls'. She shivered, and turned away, deciding to distract herself while she walked by humming a soft tune.

It wasn't long before she reached the bakery, and she turned to Arie, telling him to stay. She felt a bit bad for making him wait in the cold, but he had quite long fur, and didn't seem to be very bothered, plus, bringing a dog into the bakery wasn't very good manners. She opened the door, taking a second to examine who was already inside. There was a boy with a black hair and blue eyes waiting at the counter, and the baker was at the back, working on what Sterre presumed was the boy's order. "Hello!" She said to both of them happily, a small smile appearing on her features. She lowered the hood of her cloak as she strode forwards, pulling off her gloves and gently placing them on the counter as she waited for the baker to finish so that she could place her order.

Dred ♛ Male ♛ 1,514 Years Old ♛ Dragon ♛ Alpha
Location: Forest ♛ Mentions: None [Open!]

At the foot of the mountains lay the sleeping figure of a large dragon, his long, whip-like tail coiled around him. Snow had gathered on the feathers of the huge beast overnight, and from a glance it would look as if he were part of the mountains, but upon closer inspection you'd see the faint rising and falling of his chest. Slowly, two large, grey eyes opened, surveying the area around him before he pushed himself to his feet, lumps of snow falling off his feathers and onto the ground. He opened his massive jaws in a yawn, a low rumble erupting from his throat. He looked towards the forest where all the other dragons were sleeping, not able to join them because he was too large to fit between the trees. It didn't seem like any of the others were up yet, so Dred decided that it was a good time to go hunting. He stretched out his wings and flapped them a few times before lifting off the ground, causing the trees nearby to sway. He kept flying higher until he was soaring over the mountains, his eyes scanning the ground below for any signs of life.

Anhrefn - female - 450 - subordinate - On the outskirts of dragon territory, near Terse - open

Anhrefn tucked her wings, landing neatly on a small ledge. Here, near the borders of dragon territory, she could just barely see the smoke and lights of the town. Her scales rippled; humans had always fascinated her, and she longed to be with them, but she had heard all too often of their ire towards her kind. With a sigh, she laid down on the ledge. This would have to suffice for now. However, she didn't make herself comfortable; she had a hunting quota to fill, and if she missed it like yesterday's, well....she was toast.

Max Schmidt - male - 22 - smith - in his shop located comfortably in the town limits - open

Max limped into the forge, his hair still a mess. Something had driven him to get to work early; somehow, he knew his weapons would be needed soon. What for, he did not know; one never questions one's instincts. Setting his crutch aside, he rekindled the fires and made sure his tools were in order. Selecting a billet, he began to forge. But this time, his design was not that of axe or plowshare or even arrow; it was a broadsword, strong enough to bite through scales.

Kyle Kingston | Male | 18 | Huntsman | Location: Bakery Shop | Mentions: Sterre (Directly)

Kyle waited patiently, still leaning against the antique wooden counter. His ears rung with the familar creak of the door opening. His eyes averted from the baker to the his side, not moving his head to turn and see who it had been. Then he felt the presents of someone next to him, and a feminine voice that greeted him. He turned his head to see who it had been. He knew who she was. She was the daughter of the jeweler, but he didn't really see her around, so he didn't know her name. He gave a friendly smile towards the girl. "Good moring Miss. What brings you out at such a time like this? " he said watching as she lowered her hood. He turned his head back towards the baker, though still trying to keep the brief conversation between him and the girl. The baker had finished his bread, and gave it to Kyle with a smile. He smiled, taking the bread with one hand and reaching his pocket for some coins to give the man. When he paid the man he turned back towards the girl. I couldn't blame her if she was here because of hunger.. he thought. He knew most would be starving because of limited food. He broke his bread in half. The steam arosed from the fresh bread and it's scent filled his nose with delight. He held one of the peices towards the girl. " Here. " he said with a weak smile, he wanted to share. The more people less hungry the better.

Retch ¦ Female ¦ 1028 ¦ Beta ¦ Dragon Territory ¦ Mentions: Dred

Pale white light shone through the snow bank Retch slept in. The crust of the snow started to crack like stone as the black wrym seemed to ooze out like tar. An unnatural amount of hands clawed at the icy confines, attempting to release the remainder of her lengthy body out onto the starkly contrasting snow.

A shadow passed overhead and she looked up, white eyes centered on her alpha. She spat at the thought of someome ruling over her, it was disgusting. Nonetheless, she still screeched to him from the ground. She could have flown, but her wings were more suited for agile turns in the water.

Seth | Male | Twenty | Apprentice Healer | Town of Terse, The little infirmary | Mentions: None, Open

Seth rolled his eyes as his boss droned on and on as he usually did when it came to keeping bundled up in cold weather, which is exactly what his current patient didn't do. He did his best to hurry with the wrapping of gauze around this poor farmer's wrists so he could just get away from the bickering between these two old men. "Look, hold still." He muttered and tied off the wrapping. He hated working with frostbite. He checked the herbal ointment on the farmer's cracked hands and deemed it worthy to keep on longer. Seth stood from his stool and silently walked over to the front door of the shop to pull on his cloak. He took a peek out of the tiny little window at the depressingly little activity outside.

Sterre van Asch ★ Female ★ 19 Years Old ★ Jeweler's Apprentice ★ Outfit
Location: Bakery ★ Mentions: Kyle

Sterre looked over to the boy as he spoke to her, tilting her head slightly to the side as she listened to him. "Well for the last few days I've been following the town's advice, staying inside as much as possible, but I'm starting to run out of food. I think I might also pick up something for my parents while I'm here." She explained before looking back to the baker, seeing that he was finished with the boy's order. She asked him for two fresh loafs of bread, and as soon as the baker had gone to make the dough she looked over to see that the boy was offering her a piece of bread. She was a little surprised, considering that hardly anyone was willing to share anything ever since the curse had been placed on the town. Her eyes flicked up to meet his and she smiled, flashing a row of perfect, pearly white teeth. "Thank you." She said politely, hesitantly taking the piece of bread from him. She hadn't smelled fresh bread in a while, and she had to stop herself from taking a bite. Starting to eat the food that he had so generously offered her right in front of him didn't exactly look polite. "My name is Sterre, by the way. You might have heard of me. I'm training to become the next Jeweler." She introduced herself, reaching out one of her hands for him to shake.

OKimma Tawni Wilmeth | Female | 15 years old | School Girl |
Location: Her apartment/Town streets | Mentions:Sterre

OKimma was out,on the Town streets with her Rottweiler puppy,Lucia trailing behind her. OKimma was dressed in a plain white shirt, with long thick black pants, that made her, kinda look like a boy except, for the fact people could clearly, see she had boobs and her, feet were covered by big bulky, black tennis shoes, that were kinda hard to walk in, she also had a small black cloak, covering her plain, white shirt and the start of her long think black pants, with a big long black hood, covering her face from every angle she was also wearing silver shiny earrings, with a matching necklace today. She then, looked back at her little Rottweiler puppy Lucia, that had 3 layers,of dog coats on and saw she was trailing behind,so she decided when Lucia got over,to her she was gonna carry, her the rest of the way. Lucia quickly got over to her and OKimma, picked her up. "My poor baby..." she teased and nuzzled Lucia while walking.

OKimma was looking for a library or a store, she actually didn't know, where she wanted to go today, after the curse she would usually only go out,to the store for food or supplies. She didn't really have any place in mind,so she just walked around town, staring at people. It was kinda her thing, she just sometimes liked, having a little fun and fun to her,was either freaking people out or scaring them. But who could be scared of her you ask? The answer is old people, when she comes around old people always used to think, she was the grim reaper or something, but now in the curse most of her 'Victims' froze to death already. She sighed and her breath was clear, for everyone to see, because of the cold. It was so cold outside that a few weeks before she had sewed in hoods,to all of Lucia's coats,as well as to her old black short cloak. Suddenly she saw a dog run into the forest, she didn't care that much though, first she looked over to her house and started, heading home she opened the door and set,Lucia on the ground "Lucia i'm bringing you with so, i'm getting a bag" she said like her dog could understand her and looked, for a bag in the closet. "Aha! Here is your bag" she said looking at the dressed up Lucia,in 3 layers of coats while picking her up and putting her in the bag. She then picked the bag up and tossed her over her shoulders and went,to open the door, while she went to open the door though, she saw the lady looking for something and decided,to follow her "Ahh the dog must be her's" she thought and walked over to her. "I saw your dog walk into the forest,I was just gonna go look for your dog.." OKimma said to the lady "Aren't you the Jeweler's apprentice?" she asked her "Do you mind if i come with you?" she asked waiting for the jeweler apprentice's response. Before continuing to look over to the forest again.

Kyle Kingston | Male | 18 | Huntsman | Location: Bakery Shop | Mentions: Sterre (Directly)

He watched the girl take the bread he offered to her. His smile grew a bit as he watched her expression change. She was tempted to eat the bread, he could see it written all over her face, but she didn't. " Your welcome. " he said with a calm voice, enjoying the small conversation he doesn't normally have. Her had extended to him, and he reacted like any normal person would. He shook her hand, feeling her smaller, soft hands in his big, more rough hands. He let her hand go, returning his arm to his side. " I knew you were the jeweler's daughter, I just couldn't remember your name. It's a pleasure to meet you Sterre. My name is Kyle, I'm the huntsman in the town. I was just about to go and hunt for the town. he said as his eyes averted from her to the door and back. " The weather is better today than it was in these past days, so I'm trying to take the advantage of the clear weather to hunt. I don't like the feeling of others starving.." he said as he trailed off his sentence.

Sterre van Asch ★ Female ★ 19 Years Old ★ Jeweler's Apprentice ★ Outfit
Location: Blacksmith's Shop ★ Mentions: Kyle, Max, OKimma [Directly]

Sterre retracted her hand her hand, a small smile still on her face. "The pleasure's all mine." She responded, glancing back over to the baker to see that he was finished with her order and was making his way over to give her the bread. She thanked him and handed over some money before placing the loafs in her basket and slipping her gloves black on. She looked back to Kyle with a small sigh "Well, I should really be on my way now, my dog's waiting outside and I don't want the poor thing to freeze. Plus, I should really leave you to get on with your hunting before the weather gets worse." She said raising her hood over her head once more. "Good luck!" She said in a cheerful tone before heading towards the door, taking a small bite out of the bread he had given her.

She stepped outside and instantly froze in her tracks, staring at the spot where she had left Arie. The shaggy dog was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly panicking, she looked around, finally spotting a set of pawprints headed in the direction of the forest. She muttered a few curse words under her breath and was about to run into the forest to look for him before stopping herself. She had to be insane to go in there without a weapon on her. But where would she get one? Her mind instantly landed on the blacksmith, but before she could even put one foot forward a younger-looking girl approached her, saying she had seen her dog and asking her if she can help. "Yeah, I'm the Jeweler's Apprentice, and I'd love it if you could help, but right now I need to find a weapon." She said hurriedly, taking off towards the nearest blacksmith's shop she knew of, her feet carrying her as fast as they possibly could. She was aware that it seemed a little rude to run off right after someone offered her help, and she felt bad for making the teenager chase after her, but every second wasted was another second that Arie was alone in the forest. When she finally arrived her hood had fallen off her head and her strawberry blond hair was a mess. Her eyes scanned the shop for the blacksmith, and she spotted him working on a sword of some sort. "I need a weapon." She said, sounding slightly out of breath from running all the way there. She then realized how odd she must look, storming into someone's shop, looking all wild and demanding a weapon "Please, my dog is missing and I think he ran off into the forest." She explained, now sounding slightly more composed.

Dred ♛ Male ♛ 1,514 Years Old ♛ Dragon ♛ Alpha
Location: Mountains ♛ Mentions: Retch [Briefly]

As Dred was flying he suddenly heard a familiar screech, and he looked down to see the long shape of his Beta, Retch. He didn't stop to speak to her, since he had his mind set on hunting, but he roared back down to her in acknowledgement. He'd find her again later and check in on a few other dragons as well. He was a bit worried because of the humans. Even though he knew they were far too weak to harm dragons like him and Retch, but a few of his followers were much smaller, and he knew enough about humans to know that they were clever enough to make weapons. If he found out that any of the villagers had harmed one of his kind, he definitely wouldn't let it go unpunished.

He turned his attention back to the ground below him, soon spotting a herd of mountain goats near the foot of one of the mountains. Usually mountain goats would be higher up, but now it seemed as if the dragons weren't the only ones affected by the crumbling of the mountain. Dred knew he could easily kill most of the herd, but he wasn't dumb, and if he knew that if he kept going on like that all of his prey would go extinct, so instead he searched for the more useless members of the herd, spotting two elderly mountain goats struggling to keep up with the rest. 'Perfect.' He thought, dropping down into a dive. In the last few moments the herd caught sight of Dred and began to run for the cover of the forest, but it was too late. Dred opened up his wings to slow himself, and he swiped his two targets up in his jaws before soaring back into the sky, watching as the rest of the herd escaped into the trees. In a few seconds he had swallowed the two mountain goats and let out a triumphant roar. He soon saw a clearing in the forest and flew towards it, causing a loud, dull thud from the impact as he landed.

[OOC: I hope it doesn't seem like I'm trying to start any drama with Sterre, I just needed a reason for her to go into the forest and meet Mortuus, and her dog running off was the only thing I could think of.]

Kyle Kingston | Male | 18 | Huntsman | Location: Bakery Shop-->Town enterance-->Forest | Mentions: Sterre (briefly), Screeches (Dred)(indirectly); open

He gave a brief nod to Sterre, and a small wave gesture to her as she left. It was nice to get in a conversation once in a while, it can get quiet depressing without speaking to someone for many days. With the half bread in his hand, he began to walk towards the door. The familiar creak noise filled his ears once more as he left the bakery shop. He looked up, noticing the weather hasn't changed. Good.. I should head there straight away now.. he thought. He began to make his way over to the enterance of town. His eyes looked up at the towns old metalic sign that was an arch. It extended from one side of the road to the other side. It was old and rusty, and seemed like it could tip over easily if high winds came by. But to his suprise it was still standing up, even after the recent blizzards that came in town, one after the other.

His saunter became a stride as he got off the road and into the nearby pines. He proceeded with cautiou, not to make any startling noises and scare off any nearby prey. He was heading towards a familiar clearing where every spring the deer came. He was hoping some would still be there, and he could possibly catch at the most two doe and a buck. He reached for his crossbow, releasing it from it's sheath. It took him a couple of mintues to get through the debris of fallen trees that must have been toppled over by the extreme winds that have been happening lately. But he had finally made it to the clearing, his expression grew with a bit of happiness as he saw a few distant silhouettes of deer, but the expression vanished as he continued to walk forward. There had been half eaten deer carcasses spread out in the clearing. Something was killing the deer.. he thought, wondering if it was the creatures that the witch spoke of. He cleared his head of the thought, aiming his crossbow at a doe. He always aimed for their necks, since it was the fasts way to put them down without having to struggle trying to put them out of their misery. He breathed in and out softly, making sure he had a perfect shot. He pressed the trigger, and you could hear the high pitch swoosh as it made contact with the doe's thick hide as it penetrated it and made it's way into it's neck. The doe made a hoarse shout as it fell to the ground with a small thud.

He quickly made his way to the doe, seeing how she was no longer moving. Thank you for this meal.. he said in his mind before reaching for his arrow that was in the deer's neck. Prying off the arrow had been no problem, but trying to bring the deer to town by himself was. He grabbed onto the deer's four limbs, and began to pull her out of the small pile of snow that surrounded her and over the tremendous amount of snow that burdens him from having easy access to pulling the doe. At the most it would take him 30 minutes to bring the deer back in these conditions. He hoped he wouldn't run into anything that would make him have to spend more time in the forest than needed. He then heard a loud screech, making him stop and freeze in fear for a few seconds before he began to pick up the pace and started pulling the doe anxiously wanting to leave.

Seth | Male | Twenty | Apprentice Healer | Town of Terse, The little infirmary > Town streets | Mentions: Sterre

Seth shifted his weight after a while of staring out of the window, almost calling it quits of finding this a source of somekind of entertainment, when suddenly he caught sights of a streak of red in contrast of all of the white and gray outside. He leaned closer to watch a girl hurry past the little infirmary and was quite alarmed by her urgency. Without much thought, he scooped up his pack of healing materials and made way for the door. "I'll be back in a moment." He uttered back to his master which, by the sound of the heated argument with the farmer, he didn't much mind.
Seth cleared his throat and watched a steamy trail drift from his mouth the moment he stepped out into the cold. Looking around for any sign of some sort of urgency, he frowned at the reassuring silence of the town. He began his way after the girl, looking around with quick glances. He couldn't help but feel something was going on, or will be going on very soon. When he finally spied the strawberry blonde she was just turning into the armory. He picked up his pace to follow suit.

Anhrefn looked up sharply. Her hearing may have been poor, but her eyesight was keen, and she had just seen a flash of metal. Not the dull metal that dragons used, but shiny human metal. Humans! At the word, her scales rippled with a thrill. She swooped down from her perch and landed in the forest, trying to see the human up close.

He had made it over the mountain if snow with the doe. It had tooken him awhile, but the noise he heard had certain persuaded him to pick up the pace. Just as he thought things couldn't get worse, he heard a Swoosh up in the canopy above. He froze, he no longer pulled the doe, and started to slowly raise his head. The creature he saw was none other than a dragon. His eyes widen a bit. He watched it fly from the branch to the forest floor. " A-A.. Dragon? How can this be?? They are supposed to be myths!" he said to himself with admonishment. All he could do was stare in awe at the small dragon.
