According to the Wiki, "Rosettes seem to be the most popular marking on Lioden currently, due to the mysterious nature of how they're passed on, and the fact that they can randomly pop up in any breeding. There are tons of user theories and conspiracies floating around regarding how Rosette works, but nobody truly knows—the code has yet to be cracked." Also a Doubloon Shaded Rosette from my queen and her, but unfortunately the cub is gone and I didn't record what other marks they had. Hi. I got a Bushveld Heavy Rosette for none Rosette bushveld base dad and a none Rosette mom. Mom has White Soft Unders and dad has Almond Soft Unders and Stratosphere Feline. And that makes me confused. Should both sides have one of each or a combination of both to pass a random rosettes.? I have a possible answer. Maybe the mother has to have an empty marking slot. Then maybe the rosette will have a chance to appear in that exact slot on the cub. This is probably the reason why my lioness has a random rosette in a slot where neither of the parents have markings. (The lioness is in my pride dynasty if you’re wondering) All of the random rosettes I checked, the mother had no marking in that slot. But, I could be wrong. Edit: I checked more rosettes and rosette parents, and my answer was kind of wrong. There were mothers that had a marking in the slot where the rosette appeared on the cub. I'm gonna jump in here... I've gotten three Inverted Shaded Rosettes of different colors within a few weeks of one another from two different kings. I recently changed both of my kings from one full vitiligo order to another... I never used to get random rosettes like this. This leads me to believe it's NOT related to the vitiligo markings....unless the order matters?
