So Tigons have been annouced, but this idea is different.
A liger is a hybrid between a male lion and a tigress. The tigress will be provided through a yearly event, maybe even as a raffle prize, with some interesting and reasonable backstory behind it. Like, she has escaped from a zoo or reserve, tigers are solitary creatures, but maybe your charm is enough to break her shell... The tigress will be a part of your pride and will be treated by the game like a mutated lioness. You may breed her and/or freeze her. All her offspring will be ligers in first generation. Males are sterile, females can reproduce. Further scheme is similar to leopons.

If adding a tigress is a problem (technical issues and such), then it might be a ligress. It would probably make things easier. A ligress is like a first gen leopon, the differense it that she can't be randomly born in-game, only obtained through an event. This will make her SUPER exclusive. People argue about realism in the game, so this will be exotic enough and at the same time realistic enough so everyone may be satisfied.
