So! I recently brought the entire Meerkat Manor collection on DVD, and i mentioned Meerkat Manor in chat..

And well..

It got me thinking..

Meerkats live in africa, we have references to Meerkats in explore..

BUT we have yet to aquire a meerkat decor OR NPC..

SO.

I present you with.

Meerkat Chess/Checkers.

The NPC, would be a female meerkat, the alpha if you will and her son, they have yet to be named so any idea would be great!

Maybe her son found chess pieces in a abandoned tent, left by a hunter/human.. Maybe he made them somehow. I dont know, but regardless, he loves chess. AND is pretty good at it.

Now it would work just like normal Chess/Checkers, black vs white or red vs white pieces.

These pieces could be little Meerkats, the king and queen being the biggest pieces? Not sure how this would work, the pieces could be bugs etc

Now, you all know how chess and checkers work, but maybe there would be a score system?
and maybe rounds!

You'd probably have lives aswell, and im aware this would be a longer game, but so is whack a snake if you dont use up your lives! It can take AGES!

Now, the score/round system could have decors etc..

Though I'm not quite sure how it would work, so if you have any ideas, feel free to suggest them!!

It could work like, each round, if you can match a certain amount of moves/meet a certain challenge you get a decor/background/item!

Maybe each day, is a different round! So then with each day/round the difficulty increases, and after 5 days, it resets.

Now the decors would be random drops, like shuffle etc, sometimes you could get a decor, sometimes you get a item like honeycomb, catnip, snail, SB etc

I would LOVe to have a little meerkat mini game, and i might even make a suggestion for another named 'Bug Smash' (Where you'd have to smash as many bugs as possible within a time limit, though this might cause lag)

Suggestions:

- A difficulty system might be better than having the difficulty increase per day, that way people who struggle with chess/checkers irl won't have to stop playing as it gets continuously difficult and those who want more of a challenge can just choose the hardest difficulty rather than start out in a game that is easier then they like.
