I am making an RP using icyboards.com. I have decided on a backstory and theme:

Canines have been disappearing. For years, nobody knew why. Then, by chance, a citizen caught a perpetrator red-handed. He was taking the dog's life force. As the who question, disappeared, the why arose. Eventually, it was discovered that the people sapping the life force belonged to an ancient cult that used dogs' lifeforce to communicate with strange beings.

The world stopped asking questions then. It began to act. From each country, the people elected from their own persons who would be able to save the dogs. the few who were saved, be it from the wilds or the streets, were taken to an unknown land tract simply known as The Conservatory.

The Conservatory is protected by a ginormous wall. Guards patrol the perimeter day night. Within the walls, the facility centers around a large circular building that houses supplies, technical controls, and the main hospital. From the center sprout 'hubs', or wings of the building. Each hub houses a certain species, if the animals were wild, or group, if they were domesticated.

Each hub has a clinic. Each dog in the hub gets an indoor kennel and a small outdoor run. The runs can be opened onto a larger run, called a paddock. Paddocks connect to ten runs, but can be opened onto each other. There are also even larger fenced areas, accessible by footpaths, called Acres. Different breeds and species can interact in the Acres.

The mission at The Conservatory is simple: rebuild the canine population. This is easier than expected, as most dogs, wild or not, have become tame out of necessity. However, there are some exceptions, aggressive dogs that are a menace to humans and canines alike. These dogs are taken to an elevator within the center. Very few go down there, and the only clue as to its purpose is a large yellow sign that reads "Danger! Project: Backbite".

The RP is going to be sandbox-style. This means I lay out the backstory, setting, and rules. You make your characters, pick an area, and go wild! There will be no CONTINUOUS site-wide plot, as I think letting the drama unfold organically is better. However, stuff will happen, like cult raids, natural disasters, and medical shortages.
