Greetings, I'll just start by letting you know: I have epilepsy. What does that mean? Flashy lights/videos/gifs can cause me to seize, or if I'm really lucky, they'll just make me sick. I saw a rave-like gif on someone page while trying to expand my territory on my side account and luckily I only got sick, however if someone were to come across that, they could seize, I had no idea it was there, it was the first thing I saw. A very helpful admin I messaged explained to me it isn't against lioden rules, so I thought i'd suggest this:

I would like for lioden to black out any videos/gifs/moving pictures on a profile unless the viewer gives permission to view. This way, people can express themselves and we can keep lioden safe for those with epilepsy! Please help me make lioden a little safer. <3

Edit: This could also be turned off and on at the viewers den, just like custom decors, screen shaking, etc // could also be still until the viewer rolls over it with their mouse-discord style.

Maybe use an overlay that explains that the image is a gif, and the user can click on it to view it if they wish?

That's kind of what I was trying to explain, sorry I'm bad with words ^^
I was hoping for something like that, just something that blocks it out unless the viewer wishes to see it, like those black bars some sites let you code in so that you don't have to see it unless you want to :>

May I suggest that if this were implemented that it could be turned on and off on your den page? Sort of like how you can disable den html/css, custom decors, etc.

Yes...flashing images give me real bad headaches...I'm not even epileptic, but flashing things do cause some distress :c

I know the feeling. I aswell am epileptic and have, like you, stumbled upon territories that greet me with flashing gifs and text. Luck would have it I have not seized yet, but you never know when it might happen. I support this wholeheartedly!

I'd be okay with the toggle on and off option. I don't want to have to click every moving gif in a persons den cause people have a heck of a lot of them and that could become an annoyance for others. However, being able to toggle it on and off does seem like a good idea and I'd definitely support that. <3

I support toggling on and off. When I'm sick, GIFs make me throw up. But other times I love them.

I love the idea to turn this feature on and off! I don't have an issue with gifs, but I understand that they can be really dangerous for some people, and I think having the ability to have a warning for people who do have problems with flashing/moving images would be a really nice thing to offer their users.

Totes down with a toggle option! Not epileptic, but I imagine it's a pain in the butt/dangerous to be startled and beinc caused to seize.

While gifs aren't necessarily dangerous to me, they do bog down my delicate internet. I would love to be able to toggle them off in Account Settings! :3

With a toggle on/off? Heck yes. They make my eyes hurt, and I know lots of others have worse problems with them. But I'd still want to have animated gifs visible for me.

I suggest a toggle that hides/shows someone's den description. Something simple, but does the trick.

I'll support this.

Perhaps instead of toggling them on and off, users could just hover their mouse over the gif to play it?
It'd be more of a picture with perhaps a bit of text on it that says GIF so you'd know before you roll your mouse over it.

This would be really nice if it were an "On/Off" Switch. I do use a gif on my main, and understand that not everyone wants to see them, whether for medical or personal reasoning. (I'll add some support from my main, as well, since I really like this idea)
