The halo decoration is very low on lionesses' heads. It partially covers their faces and muddles their markings, which it doesn't do on the males. Many lions have vibrant markings, so it sucks that the halo mutes them. I think it would look better if the halo was moved up a bit so it's out of the lioness's face.
