Long, long ago, the Supernatural Races were at war. Species against species, they killed each other until all were almost extinct. Then one day, the elders from each race met; the war had to stop, or they would all die. They decided that if they could get their future leaders to grow up in harmony, their survival might stand a chance.

Each race sent two youth from among their royalty and elite military ranks, one boy and one girl. Called the Elected, they would live at Truce's Point, a large castle situated relatively near each race's land. They had bodyguards from home, but it was not expected that they would need any.

However, several months after the first batch was sent, many children turned up dead in their beds. Struck with fear, they returned home, and the castle was searched.
The killer remained at large.

A new group is embarking for Truce's point, but many have prejudices about the other races, stemming from the mysterious murders. The races are as follows:

Elves

Elves are a tall race, often fair in hair, eyes, and skin. They sometimes have antlers and always have pointy ears. They are excellent warriors and healers, and have an intense energy that turns into intense emotions.

Sprites

Sprites are a shortish race, and often slight in build. Their skin and hair are quite variable, but their eyes are always dark. They sometimes have insect wings or antennae.
They are impish, and love a good prank. However, they are not mean-spirited.

Dragon-born

Dragon-born are not true dragons, but the offspring of a talented shape-shifting and a human. They have dragon eyes and dragon fangs. Many have the wings, talons, or scales of a dragon. They are formidable opponents but poor with finesse.

Werewolves

Werewolves shift into wolf-human hybrids on the full moon, whether they like it or not. They are strong and aggressive and not the smartest. They have wolf eyes, and sometimes wolf ears, teeth, or fur. Their appearance tends to fluctuate throughout the month.

Lycanthrope

Lycans can shift into a wolf at any moment they choose. They tend to be very loyal and rather gullible. They have no wolf traits in wolf form, save for a yellow ring around their pupils. They are the hardest to discern from humans out of all Supernaturals.

Naiads

Naiads are usually of fair skin, and dark eyes and hair. They are lean,
but not small. Often shy and quiet, they have short fuses. They have blue or purple scales on them somewhere, and often webbed digits or fins for ears.

Vampires

Vampires are tall, dark-haired, red-eyed, and pale. They have large canines that sometimes protrude from their mouths. They sometimes have bat wings or bat ears.
They are clever, manipulative, and charismatic.

Skin-walker

Skin-walkers can be difficult to spot, as they often look like humans. However, they can shift into some animals by wearing the skin, fur, teeth, or claws of that animal.
Often, after returning to human form, there will be residual parts of the animal remaining, such as the teeth, ears, eyes, fur, horns/antlers, tail, or even limbs. they are often recluses who really liek animals.

Kitsunes

Werecats

Werecats can shift from human to a domestic cat, rarely a big cat. They have their cat eyes in human form,
but cannot 'hybridize' any further. They are secretive, just like cats.
