A Guide to Warrior Life in the City

As our story obviously doesn't take place in any normal Warrior Cats setting, some details about Clan life will be different to what you're used to. While basic principles are identical, practices such as hunting, apprenticeship, combat, and the like will face some minor tweaks.

HUNTING

Warriors may hunt alone or in a group, with or without an Apprentice. While some cats may find it preferable to hunt alone without having to worry about keeping track of a group, they will most often bring back small game such as mice, voles, and the odd songbird, but will have no chance of snagging a full-grown chicken or anything of similar size. In a group, however, cats may bring back more food, cover more ground, or even take down something that could feed several cats at once. Strength in numbers, as they say.

Do keep in mind that not every hunt is successful, however. Even the strongest and smartest of the bunch will witness some slip-ups. Whether it be because of a minor miscalculation, a wrong step, or simply that the pheasant turned its head at the wrong time, failed hunts are bound to happen. But don't beat yourself up about it! Even the best warriors miss their mice sometimes!

Success of a hunt will be based on the skill and condition of your cat(s), the type of prey, and the setting. For example, if a good-sized, healthy, but inexperienced cat goes after a large vole on a sunny day, the cat has a 60% chance of getting the vole. However, if the same cat tries to go after a young chicken on a rainy, muggy day, the success rate may drop down to 30%. Because of this, I implore you to split your cat's hunt into at least two posts, giving me time to calculate your success rate and PM you.
