"Your lion plays with the skull, pretending it's haunted and scary. Pretending. Yeah." What if it IS haunted, and when the lion plays with it, the ghost starts haunting them or something? 2 players like this post! Like? |

And also, why is it the only skull called anything but what it is? It appears to be the skull of an antelope-like species or something of the sort, but we're not told what. Why? Why would that be the only skull to send us on a "Guilt Trip"? Why would that one skull be haunting our memory? Remember that the lion playing only pretends that the skull is haunted; to them it's just another skull. Or maybe that's what your king thinks as he watches his pride member. Maybe because it haunts him. But again, why? It's not haunting in any way for your lion or king to be playing or possessing a lion skull, which is the very skull of a brethren, a being of the same species, maybe even an old friend you haven't seen in ages; but no, the skull of an animal you'd normally just prey on haunts you. My theory? That the skull belongs to a species once prosperous, perhaps back when your king was just a cub. Due to mass hunting though, the species has now become extinct; the skull doesn't haunt the memories of any of your pride members because they are younger than you and don't remember this species, but your king does. He does and feels bad for it, and frightened of the possible vengeful spirits that stay with their skulls even in the afterlife to send the ones that have made them extinct on a "Guilt Trip". 5 players like this post! .. it's actually much simplier, this item was first introduced during Halloween event and was found in an undead wildebeest encounter - if you ran away from it, the explore blurb said "You whimper and turn around, running like hell. No way you’re facing what could have been your last meal on a revenge quest. You stop only after tripping on something in the dark." and you found a wildebeest skull. Guilt trip it is because you actually, trip against the skull and is feeling guilty towards dead wildebeests after seeing an un-dead one. 3 players like this post! Like? |

I happen to like SurveyingDarkness' version better. It's intricate and elaborate and it surely passes out a rather eery feeling... :U 1 player likes this post! Like? |

*casually throws all guilt trips in hoard to giving tree* no wonder they come from the October event... Although maybe the name is suggesting kind of how cats trip their owners and get food or something because the owner thinks the cat got hurt when they tripped over the cat.... kind of like an offering to the cat so it isn't mad. Maybe in this case the skull is like the cat and it trips the lion (representing the owner) and as an offering to the skull the lion takes it home so it can play with lion cubs all the time instead of sitting abandoned on the ground near a bunch of demons/Nephelines. The interaction might represent how the skull isn't living and yet it made the lion feel guilty about tripping over an inanimate object so the lion thinks it's haunted and the cubs acknowledge this in their own way, too. 2 players like this post! Hey guys! I was wondering if Guilt Trip can only be obtained in October? I'm also new, and joined only 3 weeks ago. Found one in Explore and it's only late March. Edit: I was also quickly exploring, so I didn't get a chance to read the encounter. Oof. 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 19/03/19 @ 19:19:23 by Leafweaf (#170133) |
