Disclaimer (or whatever): I am writing this at 2am my time. I'm fried. Getting Started-Well, you found this forum. That's awesome. I already had my sea legs by the time I figured this out. The people here will help you. -Territory expansion: PVP battles. Okay, you've seen the thing at the bottom of another lions den that says 'attack this lion' there is a battle for territory option. This is free and if you battle the right lions, you can expand your territory to 40 slots fairly quickly. (40 is the maximum number you can reach by battling) -Games. The wiki has everything you need to know. Go. Now. Making Money-Patrol the sales thread. There is always someone with too many lions and too little territory selling great lions for a bargain. -Buying cheap cubs and selling them for 100SB each as fodder. People are always looking to buy, and they sell like hotcakes at that price. -Food. Have more food than you need? Sell in bulk in the TC. 8SB per use goes over pretty well. -The Wanted: Lions forum is a godsend. You can always find someone looking for something specific but not actually wanting to search for it themselves. This is a good opportunity to buy a lion and turn it for a profit. -Raffles are great ways to get awesome things for very little. I like them because I must have kissed lady luck and forgot, but I know a lot of people try their luck and fall short. This is a preference thing, although I can honestly say I would never have gotten Eden and Kali if I didn't roll the dice. Lingo and definitions(Always adding more. Comment if there is one you think should be added) -SB = Silver Beetles -GB = Gold Beetles -CRB = Cotton Root Bark -VLF = Very Low Fertility -Traditional Studding = When you send your female to another player's account to be bred by their stud. Not recommended -Mutie = Mutated Lion -'Pon or Pon = A lion with the Leopon mutation -Lethal = a lion with a lethal mutation -Stats = that box right under a lion's picture displays stats, which are used to determine success in battle, and other things. -Colorbomb = Still not 100% sure, but usually used in reference to a lion with markings that contrast or have many colors. Color bomb Example 1. Color bomb Example 2 -Reverse Studding = You pay to have the owner of a specific lioness breed her to a male of you choosing and receive the cubs produced. Terms vary. Auction lingo (because this is an altogether different creature)SB = Starting bid AB = Auto-buy (ends the auction and you get the... Whatever you were bidding on) HTML/CSSExpressions are made with a set of these: < with something in them that defines the command. They end with at the end of your affected text. In the following examples, the second line is the result of the first line's html with asterisks removed. <*I>So this is a sample italic with asterisks<*/I> and this is italic text using html <*u>Sample underline with asterisks<*/u> Underline text using html <*b>Sample bold with asterisks<*/b> Bold text using html <*s>Sample strikethrough with asterisks<*/s> <*span style="color:red">Sample color (red) with asterisks<*/span> Red text using html You can also use hex codes to specify colors not recognized. <*a href=https://www.lioden.com/boards.php?id=43>Sample clickable link with asterisks<*/a> Link text using html (URL is for the Newbie board, change the URL to change the destination) Images are a little different. They are wholly contained in one set of < src= defines the image. THE IMAGE MUST BE HOSTED ONLINE ie, right click, open image in new tab, copy the URL at the top. Alt= defines what will show if the image does not. <*img src="https://www.lioden.com/images/tags/december/0465.png" alt="Winter profile pic" /> With broken image link: Html can be nested, I.e. you can use multiple commands on the same line of text. Let in mind this is just the basics. AdoptionAs a newbie getting adopted is one of the best things that could happen. Usually your mentor answers questions, lends a helping hand, and basically gets you on your feet and makes sure you develop your sea legs before you fall over the side and drown. That said, I was never adopted, and do not plan on adopting anyone. Goodnight 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 23/07/17 @ 20:58:05 by Eden πΉ (#113650) |

Supposedly it does. I've heard of it working a couple times. I don't know, I don't get into it. But there are a ton of 'adopt a newbie' threads out there. 0 players like this post! Like? |
