Hello lovely lioden players! Edit 5/26/2018: Simple explanation: You no longer can breed the same type of marking in different slots anymore. Example: Passing both slot 5: Onyx margay and Slot 8: onyx margay on one lion WITHOUT the use of gnawrocks is now impossible. Bring back the old system and allow the CHANCE for same markings to pass in their respected slots. Previous post: 23/08/17 Recently I spent lots of SB, GB, and plenty of nesting material to get a double onyx lion. I have not succeeded, for one reason. The system does not allow two of the same markings in different slots to pass //unless// forced to by Orche Gnawrocks. βHey there! This is not a bug, although I can definitely understand how it can be construed as such. The marking system works in such a way that breeding two lions with two of the same exact markings in different slots will only ever pass on one set of the markings, not both onto one cub, unless an Ochre Gnawrock was used. The only reason that there are two double Onyx Margay lions is because the owners used Gnawrocks on both Margay markings to secure the passing onto their cubs. If you want a lion to have double of the same marking, you'll need to apply it manually yourself (using applicators if they fit the situation), or use Gnawrocks during breedings. I will make sure that this gets clarified in the FAQ when it is released, and is mentioned on the Wiki, as I know we have had no information about this on the site prior to my response here.β - Katze (direct link Here) Had I known that, I would of saved up my currency for next month. Besides that, I am here to make a suggestion. Allow the chance for the two markings of the same type to pass onto the cubs. I dont think there is a bad reason why this couldn't work. Please tell me your opinions! |

I thought it was possible... or used to be atleast. I used to breed double Onyx Panther Cubs all the time, I've changed projects now so it's not something i'm currently breeding for but i used to get alot of cubs with Both Slots 3 and 7 Onyx Panther without gnawrocks. This Guy was a naturally bred Double Panther, and the end to a very long project. I also got A Double OP Dwarf. The rest have all since been killed off or died of old age. But it was possible. You have my Support, If it is broken. Most of my projects revolve around Double Markings. So if it's been changed that ruins my plans. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It is not broken, the rule had been changed without notice. Even Katze didnt know. It was a planned feature, I guess. Thank you for the support. <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is a very ridiculous change they made, 100% support. If lion has same marking in two different slots, they both must have a chance to pass. It certainly wasnt that way before, Ive had a lion with x2 sets of 5 same Points markings, and they passed on fine (his cubs could get x2 onyx points and etc) There's just no logic not to allow same markings to pass if a marking in another slot passes from another lion. 0 players like this post! No support. It'll be annoying breeding for, say, onyx rosette only for the rosette slot to be taken by a double of a marking. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/08/17 @ 07:11:16 by Trash Panda (#73793) |

Yes, I agree! I like double markings to darken the naturally lighter ones. For example, rosette looks lovely doubled up! @Mad Hyena I also understand the dislike, but image double rosette as well? :) All the possibilities! 0 players like this post! Like? Ive once had a dream about a x10 marked Onyx Rosette, looks very rocking on albino base - why must it be completely cut from achieving by such game mechanics? It's rare for markings to pass already. They dont need any more restrictions to their passing. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/08/17 @ 07:15:40 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

Oh okay, I Read it wrong. I guess it's just another of those behind the scenes ninja updates. Starting to loose faith in this place. Guess it's time to rethink my projects :( 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Mad Hyena, yeah. Its awful. You can apply double oasis markings, why not special through breeding? Its going to kill me using gnawrocks and hope my other special marks pass onto my dream king. *Weeps* 0 players like this post! Like? |

Gnawrocks can only ever be used on 2 markings total per lion. What if you want more than 2 of same markings on a lion? I just dont find logic in this except plain censorship. "Cant have more than 1 per lion", why so? I dont see any logical reason to this.. have Katze asked the coders/owners about this change being known and meant to be?.. It just awfully seems like a glitch that just wasnt noticed enough, like the recent glitches with the new marking system. 0 players like this post! Like? ^ That's now my problem. Gnawrocks can't help. My project consisted of 3 sets of double marks which is no longer possible. I could just make 2 kings. But i wanted them all on the one. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's not just about marking rarity, it's about good looks. Some breed-only marks are common, but look great when there's 3+ above one another. Why cant that be possible, I just dont understand. Huh, that's very weird. Why'd they do such a change without even notifying us and what are their motives for this.. marking censorship? I wonder.. 0 players like this post! Like? Yes, I get it that Katze says it's that way, but I wonder why this change took place, when it 100% wasnt that way before the marking update. I cant find a single logical explanation why this limit would be put up. 0 players like this post! Like? |
