Keeping tabs on it. Quick question though; will the centaurs be limited to horses or can their lower body be other ungulates?

Hello all you cool cats! SO, I have been doing a LOT of brainstorming in terms of this roleplay because I want it to be AWESOME. And so I have come up with a potential plot idea that I would like your feedback on/additional ideas. Basically, here it is:

"Centaurs have long been coveted creatures by humans. The race of half human, half horse has been a rare treasure that walked through the forests, protecting what needed protection and restoring beauty after tragedy. Selfish human nature has long been the killer of these beasts to use their body parts in medicine or simply to put on the black market. Thusly, the population of centaurs needs to be increased for extinction. A god from above has seen into the hearts of simple humans who live simple - and sometimes not to simple - lives and seen something spectacular in them. Thusly a transformation began and these humans were turned into centaurs. With no memory of their previous lives and in an area they do not know, they must come together and work as a herd to keep the sacred forests as they were meant to be. Little do they know that a force far greater than selfish humans is plotting against them..."

What I wanted this roleplay to be centered around other than a key driving plot to keep them moving forward is also individual discovery. Finding out who they were in the past through inklings of their past slipping into their minds from certain tasks and developing relationships with one another.

What do you think? Does anyone have some suggestions they would like to add/take away from my idea? PLEASE let me know what you guys think! I am open to suggestions and comments and constructive critisism.

That sounds really interesting! I like the idea that they have to find out who they were previously!

Perhaps each person turned centaur has a single item (In the form of some jewelry?) which makes no sense, but is a clue to who they were? So a florist would have some sort of flower trinket or something. (Although it'd probably have to be more obscure than that)

@Ningoat -- Sorry! I forgot to mention that the centaurs also consisted of ungulates! My bad for forgetting to add that in previously. c:

@CosmicFeline -- Oooh! I like that idea! It would be an interesting way for everyone to have their own individuality -- aside from, ya know, being a hooved creature of their choosing. lol

Maybe the trinket couldn't be seen by themselves, though? Only the other centaur? So therefore you'd have to make friends with others to try and figure it out, rather than on your own? I dunno, just proposing ideas.

There could be a good mix of really nice, purehearted people with ones who were really awful horrible people mixed in just to spice things up.

Imagine befriending someone only to have nightmares of them being a serial killer.
