I know, I'm a serial-suggester. For this one, I'd like to suggest that stud notifications get stacked as ONE message in your notification inbox - so you will get the first notification, and then every alert after that will stack onto the existing one in your inbox. Seriously, when you're up over 150 tries on a lioness, and you aren't online.. Coming back to that is MADNESS xD So effectively, it will display as such; Studding Request Accepted - But Failed! (132) - the (132) represents the number of tries. Evidently you will get the notification for a successful breeding in a separate notification. You will still receive your on-screen prompt, as per usual, to alert you to the 'new message' - the will just now be stacked tidily as one, instead of trying to smother your entire notification inbox :) No support? Let me know why! |

The only way i see this code working is if it alerted you only when the success was made, as there would be no other way to compile fails (the amount of fails likely has no predetermination), however, this may be problematic, as if you were studding a 1% and she got several fails, you would be unsure if the person is attempting (since you wont get alerted of attempts until success, and they may take time) and someone may withdraw their request to look for a stud who will make an attempt even though this one may have gone through a bar of energy for your girl. although i do like the idea, i can see a downside for the stud itself (and i suppose that uncertainty could be a downside for the studee). ![]() Edited on 23/09/17 @ 22:52:24 by TadaKiba(side) (#57113) |

I don't understand quite what you mean? It would effectively work in the same way as email replies stack in your email inbox; You would get your initial failure message show up in your notifications inbox and then all resulting messages for failure would just go into the same message, like a thread. Upon success, the message would be redirected as a new message, therefore showing as a separate message in your notification inbox. ![]() |

So what would happen you'd get a first fail message, and then the message would update and unread itself each fail? ![]() |

You would get your first fail message, and then every fail would just literally stack on top - in exactly the same way as you get replies on a forum thread, essentially! :) ![]() |

hm, replies dont presently work that way in lioden, although its a good idea, i think it would require recoding the entirely of the pm/reply system to threading messages while tedious, i think it would also be helpful for general pm replies as well as the stud requests, however my second concern comes in is how long is it ok to let this "reply thread" go before the scrolling gets annoying? A stud request with 100+ fails i suppose never can be sightly however, as someone who has little experience with it (bs all vlf), I cant imagine there would ever be a completely neat way to handle it, I'm sure though having 1 message to mark read is easier than 30, even if that message is really long. ![]() Edited on 23/09/17 @ 23:07:18 by TadaKiba(side) (#57113) |

It would only be the subject string that would actually change - since the main message itself effectively is the same thing - therefore no need for a trail of messages; only the subject matter would need to change in order to alert to the amount of fails, hence the number would be in the title of the message as it appeared in your inbox, since every fail message has the same text body each time. (if that makes sense!) ![]() |

Hm I think I get what you mean, but it does sound rather complex on a coding standpoint. It sounds like it would be worth it though! ![]() |
