This topic is a hard one, I don't know which I should've put it under?? (Yes, I know this isn't a mutation) The idea of this was for lionesses and males who are over 10 years (Or in rare cases cubs / adols) possibly have lowered stats, are rarely able to hunt, and would maybe have an expression of pain or a lineart of them laying down. What is Rheumatoid Arthritis you ask? For now let's call it RA because i'm not spelling that shit out five times. RA is inflamed joint linings. It affects many joints as ones in hands, legs, feet, etc. As someone who suffers from it (Juvi RA) I can assure you it's painful as hell. RA is normally caused by old age. Another reason to why this should be added is that it can affect all animals considering it only degrades joint lining. I love any feedback! Also, please don't feel bad to share why you don't support this idea!! (This would be a random chance. Not every lion would get it.) Year 10 message: Your lioness is experiencing pain! She is unable to walk properly. Year 10(month 2) message: Since your lioness has last experienced pain it has gotten worse! Now she rarely stands, much less hunts! ((Yeah it needs some work^^ )) Also as an idea by other people lionesses and sub males could have high fail risk at hunting / patrolling. |

I had Lyme disease when I was a kid, and doctors in Florida and even my doctor in Massachusetts thought it was JRA. No... JRA doesn't paralyze people. My joints are still affected by it. But anywho... this sounds interesting. And maybe slightly deformed paws because in severe cases with humans their fingers can get all twisty and not entirely straight. I haven't seen it personally but I've seen images on google. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I see this all the time at my work. Mainly old ladies, their fingers all go odd ways and their knuckles and elbows and knees are swollen super crazy like. A few older men i see have it, it must make doing anything extremely difficult. I think this should be implimented and be a 'curable' aging disease. Purchasing the saffou fruit would cleanse your older lion of the ailments, however I think the signs should start sooner. 10 years old and then 12 years old is when your lioness is considered 'debilitated' and unable to be bred even though she is in heat, and unable to hunt or be a brood mother. Just a suggestion tho. I wanna see old lions needing help through disease and aging to the point where they are less functional. And put the saffou fruit to some use. 0 players like this post! @Faded I thought it was 14 when they couldn't breed and there is actually no cure to RA. If there was I would've gotten that shit done. Saffrou fruit would most likely be temporary relief to them or some shit but thank you for responding to this!!! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I was suggesting that the RA would render the lioness incapable of being bred by 12 years so that it would have to be dealt with. the 10 year mark might be more of a notification and maybe a line art change. Maybe instead of implimenting the saffou fruit to cure it the use of argan oil in the oasis would be a 'cure'? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes, support! Chronic pain is a part of my life and it sucks ASS! Here are some ideas - Hunting females now have a much higher chance of failing. - Patrolling males would also have a much higher chance of failing. - Extra blue notifications that have the lion in a snappy mood (bc being in pain does make one lash out and take frustrations out on others) - it could just be a non line-art change, or could bring on the age lines a lot sooner 0 players like this post! @Cake Yeah, I had some of those ideas along with shorter lifespan (as RA shortens life by 10-15 years) and thANK yOU FOR suPPORTING!!! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support! Maybe the lioness could have a high risk of making the hunt fail :)? 0 players like this post! Like? |

/waves Hi, fellow arthritis-haver! I'd love to see this included maybe as some sort of...status effect? Like, where the cub messages and "Lioness has been bred to x, will give birth in x days, build a nest here" go, something along the lines of: "Lioness has gotten old, and (bla bla bla 'her joints are bad')! She may have trouble hunting!" 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think it's a good idea! I think old age should have more consequences, considering how weak the body can get, and not just the fact that the lioness/lion can't hunt or patrol. I really hope this gets implemented in to the game! :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

Not supported, lions already have such a short life span on this site, I don't want to lose a third of a lionesses hunting years. 10 lion years go by like nothing... And the lowered stats/no hunting nerf would severly mess with stat breeding, which is an even bigger reason for me (and probably others) not to support this. Especially not supported if this would also affect the king, for the same reasons... Sorry! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@padre However even if this happened to your lioness you have the option of the saffou fruit! Which removes all deformities in your lion! If the saffou fruit removed such ailment then it would be of no real issue ^^ EDIT: plus if the chance of it occuring in newborns is as rare as lets say a lipomatosis or conjoined cubs mutation then theres no threat to stat breeding in cubs. Plus youd get a nice rare cubbin. perhaps the RA cubs dont live very long? Death at 2 yrs or something? 0 players like this post! Like? @faded Ra cannot kill you on early in life as it is only chronic pain, however still manages to shorten your lifespan by 15 years (For a human) but thank you for the support c; 0 players like this post! Like? |
