A lot of people have invested a lot of currency in the scrying stone to see if we were right about combos, and here is the result :D But wait... What are combo bases?When you breed two lions with the right combination of bases, their cubs roll a further, extra chance that can result in a third, new base, a "combo" base. Each combo base has its own requirements, and these bases often ignore the set genetic rules: for example, the Cairngorm combo base (Black Light Solid Special genetics) can be obtained by breeding a Celestial lion (Black Dark Countershaded Special genetics) and a Cocoa lioness (Black Medium Countershaded Rare genetics). Most combo bases can be passed down as long as one parent has it and further requirements are met if there are any, with the exception of Pulsar and Temporal. *Since the 12th October update, cubs that have triggered the original combo bases - Cairngorm, Citrine, Madagascar or Qahir - have a 50% chance of getting their respective mane color, and these can be inherited like any other mane color! Right now there are two different types of combo bases: "standard" combos and "factor" combos. Factor ones can be obtined by breeding any of the bases that make up the combo, but standard ones can be obtained by more than one combination of bases that are assembled into two different groups. The combo can trigger as long as the parents have bases that belong to a different combo group (not to be mistaken by the genetic color group). *Note: While some of the following standard combo tables have been completed, there may be some combinations that remain undiscovered yet. "Okie dokie, so looking at everything. It is possible to OBTAIN from combo breeding but they also can be bred when Madagascar x Madagascar requirements are met. So Madagascar x Madagascar has a chance to pass Madagascar. With regards to the stone: There is a chance to always hit a fail roll, it's not a guaranteed. HOWEVER With your sample size, there is a chance combos are bugged at the stone. The stone does not fully reflect the same code as breeding, so there could be a problem with combo mechanics and the something off in the scrying stone coding. What we would suggest is making a bug board thread regarding scrying and combo bases. There is chance something might be glitching. " I might be more confused than before. "I can understand that being a little confusing, and I am very sorry you were given conflicting information. I know the staff name is blocked, but this is the Admin Baroness and the information in this ticket is coming direct from me and Xylax." So it appears the information Bezthiel was given is incorrect. So... wait... Admin Baroness says (that Xylax confirms) that Combo x Combo CAN make Combo babies, and that they were supposed to all along? ie: . Citrine x Citrine = Citrine, Madagascar x Madagascar = Madagascar, Cairngorm x Cairngorm = Cairngorm Qahir x Qahir = Qahir So... when I first scried a Cairngorm pair making a Cairngorm cub, it WAS correct... But, THEN, a mod later said it wasn't to someone else, and that the scrying stone was bugged... After, the scrying stone no longer showed Combos of being able to pass, even following known rules... Ok so wait though. Can a combo base ONLY pass if bred to the same base? As in Madagascar x Madagascar? I thought they had said at one point that it could pass with any of the bases that formed it, ex: Madagascar x Unholy = Madagascar Is this possible? 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Cerrates Yep. The issue we seem to be having is if a combo base x combo base can pass that same combo base; news said that combo base x one of the 8 bases that make up the combo is the way for them to pass. 0 players like this post! Like? |
