Icey wind ruffled the large brutes pelt even in the security of his den the wind managed to penetrate the entrance and whisper false truths of comming warmth. Lazily the hulking male opened an emerald eye allowing it to become accustomed to blinding darkness, slowly opening his other the dog blinked before raising his skull, a jaw splitting yawn ripped his lips open to reveal large yellowing canines and a salmon pigmented appendage that darted between parted velevets, quickly snapping large jaws shut rein stood and allowed a shudder to slide it's way down his spine causing the brute to spasm into a rather extended stretch, starting from his front paws he lerched forwards allowing it to crawl up his neck and into his ears which laid flat before springing forwards once more, this shudder carried down his back making him reach long gangly legs back and his tail flick. Allowing this stretch to fully pass the grouch made his way towards the den entrance. Large paws carried him swiftly but reluctantly towards the thick white substance covering the ground, his stomach gave a rather loud, irritated growl of hunger and his features turned sour, he had not eaten in what felt like weeks and he was becoming disparate. Pressing his large snout into the snow his body soon followed suit rolling lazily the male covered his musk with snow and stood up to shake the remainder free of his tanned hide, raising his skull he flared his nostrils in hope to catch any scent floating on the small breeze. Finally it was there the scent he was looking for and in reply his mouth began to water and drops of saliva dropped to the snow melting the substance upon contact. Crouching forwards he started to follow the delicious trail, growing with exitment the male neared a small rabbit burrow and he knew it was here, as hunger took the demon over he started to dig only to startle the small prey item into a frenzy, darting away the rabbit looked back to see the large tanned beast sitting on his rump with a look of utter defeat and despair plastered over his maw ![]() Edited on 19/09/17 @ 10:18:12 by Morningstar[AIWC][5/6 piebalds (#38876) |

Amber eyes blinked open slowly, gazing at the pale blue sky of morning. Not a cloud spotted the skies and temperatures were already on the rise, something the long haired she-dog wasn’t overly pleased about. Standing to her feet the multi colored female stretched with a wide yawn, displaying her white canines and surprisingly lean figure. Straightening back up she shook out her silky pelt before trotting out of her den, sniffing the fresh morning air. The sun was big and bright, shining off of her brown, black and white fur and causing the brown hues to seem almost auburn. Despite the rising temperatures the female enjoyed mornings. This was her home, despite the tough times they’ve had to endure. Oftentimes the female would sit outside her den in the mornings and recall the tales her mother told her as a pup. Tales of her descendants and the lifes they lived outside their now island home. Stories of two legged furless beings that called themselves ‘humans’ and the cruelty they made dogs endure. One particular tale always held a special place in the females heart. The tale of one of her earliest grandmothers named Ishani. A German Shepherd Husky mix with sharp eyes and a fiery personality. It wasn’t known if she was the first in her particular family line to step foot on the island or not but she was one of them. It was after her grandmother that the female was named, Ishani, mainly due to the striking resemblance. Ishani, or Shani as many on the island called her, had a heart for adventure. She was loyal to her pack and respectful of the other packs borders, but it never stopped her from traveling about her own territory. Sometimes she’d go about doing this through a hunting trip, however she most enjoyed it by herself or with a friend. On occasion she’d see someone from a neighboring pack but would keep a respectful distance. Ears pirked Shani trotted off, tail wagging, hoping to find yet another adventure soon. ![]() |

Braelyn's left floppy ear twitched a bit before it pinned back wards, her right perking strait as her eyes flickered towards a couple leaves that swirled in a odd pattern, in her couple years in the city she knew that it meant that it would soon start to get old, maybe even the white slow that always made her nose cold when it melted on it would fall from the sky. Shifting her weight around so she was now sitting up properly she shifted around a bit on her paws letting her tail wag as she watched a few of the other dogs walk back and forth just seeming to do their own thing smelling at each other. Licking her muzzle with the tongue that never seemed to fit in her mouth she turned her head chewing just over the base of her tail, the little black bugs had always been on her body jumped around her gnawing teeth. Maybe she should go talk to the healer and see if they had a cure for the bugs, from all the biting at herself had caused little bald spots on her thighs and a bit just above her front paws. Running her tongue over her muzzle again she stood up stretching letting out a quiet whine as her shoulder stretched letting her head fall down between her paws, she moved sliding down, more like stumbling, down the small hill she was hanging out on. Her ears flopped as she trotted along, her retriever really only showing in her ears that sometimes stood whenever something really caught her attention, her markings showed her shepherd along with the size of her paws, but her husky breed showed through the thickness of her fur and the white that was marked down her chest. Braelyn yawned lazily letting her tongue stick out and curl as her eyes closed and her ears pinned backward before she stopped and looked around letting her body instinctively shake causing some loose fur to fly the short hair tanned hair almost looking blonde from the sun. Letting her oddly colored brown eyes stay half-lidded as she ducked her head in greeting to those who she passed. ![]() |

Xhuli hit the ground with a sickening thud. He rolled over, trying to clear the burning pain fogging their head. Paws came down hard on his ribs, knocking the air out of them. "Aww, cmon, you arent done yet, are ya? We just started!" The figure on top of them giggled (who is that?), and picked Xhuli up by the scruff of his neck . "Well, im not done at all!" They growled through fur as they tossed Xhuli like a worthless toy once again. He struggled to stay conscious, opening his eyes (were they ever closed?). He looked up at the shadow looming above him, pupil-less eyes piercing into his soul. Fear shot adrenaline through his legs, making them stand up and leap at his attacker. The shadow dissipated and his jaws connected with nothing but air. "You still havent learned?" A disembodied voice spoke from all directions at once. "You are only here to entertain all of us." A chorus of excited yelps and barks rang out from the crowd surrounding the arena (where am i?). Xhuli whipped around, only to come face to face with the shadow. "You are nothing. Give up." Something was squeezing his neck, crushing it, he couldnt breathe and something wet and sticky dripped onto his paws, what is that? Where was he, where was this? And why the hell couldnt he breathe? Xhuli woke up with a start, stifling a yelp as their eyes shot open. He took a deep breath, trying to settle his nerves. He placed a gentle paw against his neck. He was ok. He was still alive and he was ok and he was out of there, he had been out of there for a long time. This was the 5th time this week, but thats fine. He was still alive. ![]() |

As the shaggy dog ran through a large clearing, only one thought was going through her brain. Water. Water. Water. It had been hours since her last drink and she was beginning to feel faint and weak. Small flowers bent under paws as she trotted through the foreign land on a search for a water source. After about 15 minutes of idly wandering, she sat, her pink tongue lolling out of her tongue. Her breathing was heavy and rapid, and her chest could be seen rising and falling at a fast rate. The collie sat below the unforgiving sun, attempting to regain her energy. It took her a good half hour to feel well enough to continue her search. The wind beat against the dog's long fur as she padded through a highly vegetated area. Just as she was about to stop again, her nose began to tickle with the scent of water. She let out a small yelp before she picked up a gallop, going to wherever her nose told her to go. She hoped over rocks and fallen limbs, nearly splintering her paw in the process. The small pond she neared was in the heart of the forest and she flew towards it, immediately bowing in front of it. Her jaws opened and her tongue was released to lap up the marvelous water. She continued to drink until her gut was completely full, and once she was pleased, she stepped back a few paces, her chest still heaving. Better stay here for a while, the dog, Aspen, said to herself as she lowered her body to the lush grass underneath. The distant sound of birds conversating was enough to cause the dog to fall asleep, and it did. Her eyelids grew heavy and within a matter of minutes, the pooch was asleep ![]() |

As Tarkik neared the scent of blood, he saw a lithe figure half-stumbling half-running through the grass, chasing after another wolf. There was something very wrong and unnatural about the way the figure was running, and it have him a very uneasy feeling. As he neared, he recognized it as one of the infected, and a small growl rumbled out from his throat. Like most others, Tarkik had a strong hatred for the infected, and he considered going to help the wolf it was chasing before someone else beat him to it; a black-pelted she-wolf, definitely large for a female, barreled into the diseased wolf, sending both of them toppling to the ground together in a large mass of fur. Tarkik didn't get to watch the fight for very long before he heard a pair of voices, and he turned his head to see two faes not too far off. One of them looked distressed, and before he knew it, Tarkik was walking towards them. The calmer of the two was quite short, but, as he realized as he came closer, rather pretty. His attention turned to their conversation, and it was clear that the taller one was anxious about the infected wolf. "You'll be fine, the infected seems to be a bit preoccupied now." He said, glancing over for a moment to see that the black-pelted wolf had recovered and was now preparing to face off with the diseased wolf. "If you really want to, however, you could head into the forest. Infected wolves can't see very well, and it'd probably end up running straight into a tree if it tried to chase after you there." {The RP sample I've used is from a wolf RP. I'm very flexible, and I can write more or less than this. It depends on how much the people I'm roleplaying with write.} ![]() |
