heya!!! i’ve done this before, but yet again, my style has ~evolved~, and i really need help pricing my art. Hello! I'm really bad at pricing but I thought I'd maybe try to help you our anyway. x3 I'd say people would probably be willing to pay at least $10 for a coloured piece. Your art may very well be worth more, but from experience people on LD tend to not pay a lot for art unless it's super high quality, professional art. And just a tip - if you want to paste links directly to the images you can drag the image into a new tab and it will give you a link to the image. Then you can use the code <*a href="LinkHere"*>TextHere<*/a> (without *'s) and paste your image link into it. Example: LINK. 0 players like this post! Hey! Media Arts student here to the rescue!!! Lol Anyways yeah no I think when pricing your art you should really keep in mind how long it takes for you to make the art and the effort you have to put in it! I don't like seeing people put other artists down for prices. As an intermediate artist I would start at $7.25-8 depending on if you want to go by the hourly way. It can be difficult telling on a piece how long you're gonna take on it but after a while you get a knack for it. Just consider all the elements that go into your pieces like complexity, size, amount of characters and such which are a typical base for artists! OH And don't limit yourself to just commissions! Do adoptables, YCH, or even auctions! Really gets the customers integrated and really apart of the community 0 players like this post! Like? |

@babydracolisk- thank you for your input!! I’ll probably end up going hourly, it usually takes me 1-10 hours depending on complexity and the amount of free time i have available. recently just got put out of a job ( which is why usd is so important rn ) so i should have extra time when im not at interviews or studying for classes. im still trying to adapt to using an ipad for commissions as well, because it means i cant use transparent backgrounds, and i know thats a huge part of the appeal of USD art 0 players like this post!
