We don't have specific decors for mutations, it is a known fact and it is perfectly understandable. What we do have is decors for poses - and that is what I want to use for that suggestion. In my opinion felis females are a bit of trouble - you want them to look pretty, but all the decors are... Out of place. Nepheline wings looking like the Heaven's experiment reject are one of the things that made me think "maybe for decors felis should be coded as kind pose, so some of the decors can fit". It wouldn't cost more time of our artists and require not as much coding as it could if we were to look up every decor version and code it for felis. Tl;dr: Match the mutation with the closest pose in code, for example: Primal (felis) -> Kind pose Why I didn't make this only "felis decor tweak"? Because I have not checked other mutations and how should they be coded in the term of poses, so if you guys think one of the mutations should be better in another pose, let me know in the comments! |

Match the mutation with the closest pose? Yeah I like that logic a lot. Support! ![]() |

@Kraft It sounds way simplier than what I wrote, I hope you won't be mad that I'll use it in the main post? :D Thanks! ![]() |

What if we got the ability to choose which version of a decor to display on a lion, rather than leaving it up to the staff's discretion which ones fit best on which lineart? ![]() Edited on 16/10/17 @ 15:12:59 by Fart (#25392) |

@Fart I think it would need a lot of coding, and what matters in that suggestion for me is as low effort for staff as possible. What you said I think could be another suggestion :) ![]() |

That sounds like a great idea! I always wondered why some of them can't be moved around a bit, I think it would be great if you could just add them as a layer onto the picture and go into an edit mode, then move, resize, and rotate/flip the decor a bit to suit the lion/ess better. Its something I struggle with a lot when designing decor for friends/my own pride, especially because a lot of decor overlaps each other. Now I understand the ones that interact with the lion, such as the jewelry decors, wouldn't make much sense for this, but for say, the blandford's fox and melanistic leopard cub, it's annoying when you have two decor that you want on a lioness but dont want to overlap. This would also make giving muties decor much easier. Not entirely sure what coding etc would have to go into it, but just my two cents ^.^ ![]() |

Support. I have this necklace that I LOVE but it doesn't work on my maneless because he has to main. It extends too far out. :-( ![]() |

Support. I'd honestly rather they just updated all the decors to fit mutants, like they did for poses and cub stages, but I guess this is the next best thing. ![]() |

I agree with Fart - I think we should be able to use poses on mutated lions - so I could buy and use a kind pose on a felis, or a snarky on a leopon or something. And it would affect the decor but not the lion. We already see this happen with manes on kings - when I had a smilus I had one of the feather mane decors and I used a mane changer on him because the decor changes from mane to mane and it looked better with the new mane. So I don't think it would necessarily be too hard to code. ![]() |
