I've recently noticed that, while lethals can only be previewed under the general "cub" stage in the wardrobe (and not under the cub newborn, cub young, etc. stages), decors equipped to lethals will reflect what the decor should appear like at those specific cub stages if the cub is on an account where cub stages are enabled (ex. if a lethal was frozen on the first day of its birth it will still be counted as "cub newborn", and decor placed on it will show up as it would on a cub in the 0-1 months newborn stage). an example with my own conjoined cubs: - decor (dirty fur) according to wardrobe - decor (dirty fur) actually equipped to cubs Since it's only possible to see what decor for the general cub stage would look like on lethals, this isn't always the most useful for customization -- the decor might appear different on the actual lethal, depending on what "cub stage" it's in. I understand lethals were put under the normal cub stage so that they'd be viewable to everyone whether or not they had cub stages enabled on their accounts, but I think it'd be helpful to players with cub stages enabled if lethals were previewable under all the cub stages. Players without would still be able to view them under the general cub stage, but players with cub stages enabled that would have the more specific decor placements could view them in the wardrobe as well. It would be the same image of the lethal in all the cub stages -- the only difference would be that the decor for each stage could be previewed more accurately on the image of the lethal. |

(Mods please let me know if I should have made a new thread instead of posting in this one ^^) This would be really helpful not just to view decor looks like, but also markings and eye colours. I know most non-custom decor isn't designed with lethals in mind, but being able to see where it would show up if it were to be equipped would help me decide if I want to use it anyway, even if the positioning is "off," before I go and buy it. For example, the "Janetta Themis Forester" bird decor perches behind the head in the "young cub" pose. However, the same positioning of the decor allows it to appear to perch on the shoulder of my sirenomelia cub. However other decor, such as the "Taita Fiscal" (to use another perching bird as an example) sits directly on top of the head in the "young cub" pose. This positioning does not work for my sirenomelia cub. (I cut and pasted the bird onto him in MS paint because I didn't want to waste a use of the bird equipping it to take the screencap.) But if I hadn't copy/pasted the image together, I wouldn't know where it would be able to tell where it would appear in relation to my mut cub. ---------------------------- Markings are not so easily copy/pasted. The vitiligo 5 marking is on both cubs below: However the spotting is much more visible on the sirenomelia cub. The body shape and fur texture are different, and therefore marks are going to show up differently. If I were going to customise my cub, I would not want to buy applicators, use them, and only afterwards be able to see how the markings would look on him. Tl;dr - Pls let me dress my leggy boy up in the wardrobe. 0 players like this post! Like? |
