Okay, so I have had this happening and while I haven't lost a cub to it, I find it quite annoying to log on and see a 'Cub incident' Notification and when I click to see what cub it was, it was either a 1 month old cub or a cub still with it's mom.

Maybe change they system to have the mothers of cubs 4 months and under protect their cub until their 5 months? Realisticly, the mom is the only one who protects the cubs for a while before she brings them to the pride, then her pride sisters help protect them. If you breed a lot of cubs on a daily bases, it will help eliminate that long list of cubs and you wont have to go through the cubs who are still with their mom and decide 'Okay, do I really want broodmother1 to protect this cub that's still with it's mom.'

Good idea, but.. don't forget about "baby watcher" from monkey shop.
He is cheap enough, so if you have at one time more than 24 cubs (for 40 pieces of territory 4 broodmoms - as i remember, - and 6 cubs each mom due their personality), you can buy a bird in monkey shop.
Why it still a problem?)

It's a problem because the baby watcher is 200SB and it's a one time use. If you are planning to get rid of cubs at 5 months either for a raffle or Karma, then you would need to waste 200sb for a bird per cub to make sure it doesn't die before you have a chance to do what you want.

Once they are after 5 months, you are fine to buy a bird for them as this is idea is not for cubs 5 months and older, its for cubs under 4 months who should be under their mothers care since they are still with her and depending soley on her for substance.

This is good! Especially since theres a limit to how many broodmothers you can have (which i dont really understand why that is either), its really annoying when i have a lot of cubs born in a few days, and simply dont have enough broodmothers to protect them all.

I don't really understand why they lay on mom the first 5 days but still need a broodmother to protect them. Aren't they protected by the lioness they're sleeping on?

^Because it's 200sb each to protect cubs that still spend all of their time sleeping on their mother if you don't have broodmother space. It just feels unnecessary

^ I agree with Eden, if the cub is still with it's mother, the mother should watch it, not a bird that I would need to spend 200sb on.

Plus it's a one time use. If you have lionesses with cubs under 5 months, and you don't want to see those 'cub incident' reports, you would either have to chase the cubs before you decide if you really want to keep them, or spend 200sb per cub for a bird to watch them.

Broodmothers were only put in place to kind of limit how many cubs a user could keep(w/o having to worry about playing with/feeding them), due to server lag caused by a cub hoarding incident a long ass time ago.

I support this suggestion.

I'm meaning if you need(!), you may(!) buy it. It's your choice: to buy or not. If you need to protect more cubs you can buy more space for lioness - it also will add some space to broodmoms. But only if you REALLY need to keep ALL your cubs. As for me, sometimes i get lots of cubs, yeah, but i give them away/use for karma if they too "potato"-looking. And from 40-50 cubs only 10-15 left, because they really make me fall in love with them..) And my 22 slots of broodmoms care will be enough. Choose the best, let others go away/to other people/be freeeeee :D
It's just my opinion. c:

I'm not saying that idea is bad - no, it's good. Really good if we could forget about cubs safety for some time (even if for five days). But game already give you some ways to save them. Just don't forget about bird-watcher, nothing more.
^-^

Also support suggestion.
