Have you ever seen an ad in the Sales Chat, inciting you into participating in a raffle for something you just have to have, with reasonable ticket prices too! but something seems awfully familiar once you click the link? I have, more than I'd like to admit, since my memory's not the best. I end up entering the same raffle twice or three times more than I wanted to, because double checking to see if this raffle is a new identical cousin to another or the same one is a lot of opened tabs and cross checking and trying to keep track of who did what and agh! @n@ I do enough coding to know that an "easy fix" is usually not the easiest thing to actually implement, but the idea itself is basic: a note under the buy ticket buttons that says, in addition to how many total tickets have been bought, how many you personally have purchased. That way, instead of a forest of tabs and a cornucopia of squinting, all it would take is a glance to know for sure that yes, you are already participating in this raffle! I welcome criticism, especially from no votes! I'm not the only person who plays here, after all ;w; ETA additions from discussion: Sara (#54615) pointed out that while not everyone has this particular problem, it'd still be handy and beneficial to everyone to have, and I haven't personally discovered any way that it'd negatively affect game play for anyone. If there is, I'd be grateful if someone pointed it out! Sara (#54615) also pointed out that this would be handy for people who purchase large numbers of tickets for cheap raffles, as going and hand-counting 100+ tickets on the 'Your Bids' page is not a simple task in the least complicated circumstances. |

I personally don't have a problem with how it works right now, but it would be really handy to have :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

A fair point! Not everyone has a problem with this, or participate in enough raffles to notice if they do, but it seems like something even the unaffected could benefit from, and I haven't found any downsides yet, or ways people play that it would upset ;w; I'll be adding this to the main post if that's okay, since it should be pointed out! 0 players like this post! You are more than welcome to^^ I do enter raffles quite regularly but I am picky with which ones so I usually keep track on if I have entered or not, but I will admit that it is hard to know exactly how many tickets you have bought when you enter larger ones where one ticket is like 5 sb and you buy 100+ xD 0 players like this post! No support because this is already something you see in game. here it lists above what raffles you yourself are running. Below that is says "Your Raffle Tickets" it lists not only the raffle you are participating in but also how many tickets you have bought. EDIT: yeah its not shown on the raffle page itself. but you dont have to look very far to see if youve already entered. 0 players like this post! Like? @FadedNobody: I really appreciate hearing from a no support! Thank you! I have addressed this , but I don't mind expanding on those points! The way that page is set up is..... not conducive to double checking raffle ticket purchases. Purchases are listed in the order you bought them in, so if you reconsidered or gained another item to throw in, each purchase is scattered so there's no way to gain a total amount easily, not without note taking or a lot of scrolling @n@ Also, raffles do not require unique names! Right now I'm in at least two raffles for 1 item that are both named the same thing, and the only thing telling me is that the ticket prices are different. But if I have two with the exact same name, what's saying that the other 17 tickets are from one or the other of those? They're all listed separately, with no id numbers or user names even, in the order that they were bought. Which means to know for sure that the Grain of Paradise raffle I just found isn't one I've already bought tickets for, I have to open 19 links. That's ridiculous!! And that's just for the ones named 'Grain of Paradise',' I can't trust any of the other raffle links I have either! So I have to do this every single time I look at a new auction that has an unoriginal name, which is most of them. That's a ridiculous amount of work ;A; and your solution is telling me to do that constantly, instead of introducing a small notification on the raffle page itself. I'm sorry, but I don't agree, especially because I made this suggestion specifically because that's the only option available! I welcome discussion, however, if you have counter arguments ;w; 0 players like this post! Like? |
