If you're like me, you love your king's name because it's Iconique™️. If you're also like me, you find it weird to have two kings in a row named the same thing. To get to the point, I think it'd be a nice GB feature if we could purchase a "legacy" name. When your king dies or retires or becomes a grandpaw, I think it'd be a cool feature to store their name in a slot for future use! Meaning that name couldn't be taken from you should you decide to use a different name for your heir, but still want to use the other name down the road. A few other websites I play on allow you to purchase and hold previous usernames via donations/real money currency, and allow you to swap between them whenever you like. Since king names basically function as a permanent username till they're retired, I think this would be a nice GB sink to add!

A few key points of what I'm suggesting:

1) You can only purchase one legacy name slot. Meaning you can only sit on one name at a time to prevent mass hoarding.
2) Unlike aforementioned sites, you cannot swap freely between your names. Unless you're retiring, you still need to pay the renaming fee.
3) The name you purchase has to belong to a former king-- hence the title of legacy name.

Possible concerns:

Q) Doesn't it seem unfair that one person is allowed to keep a name as long as they like?
A) Imo, not really. We already have some members that have been using the same names for so long that there's little chance they'll ever become available and that's always been seen as perfectly fair, so why not this? This is a name that's special to you and you chose for yourself, it would be a nice option to keep it!

Q) Won't this take up extra space/storage?
A) As far as I know, no. The game already stores plenty of names permanently in dynasties so I don't see this being much different or all that harder to code.

Q) But if everyone has an extra name, we'll run out of good available names!
A) Once again, probably not. I can't see many people wanting to pay GB for a name slot, especially because a lot of people don't like using the same name multiple times because it gets confusing in lineage. It's a nice option for those who want to, but like the renaming fee, it probably isn't going to be utilized as often as you think.

Onto feedback:

1) Is this something you're interested in/would use? Why or why not?
2) What would be a fair price for it? Should it have to be renewed every time you retire a king regardless of whether you switch the name out?
3) Is there anything you think should be added to this suggestion or tweaked?
