I would definitely want this item! Maybe it could be a "Fig Leaf" or something similar because you are hiding an appearance. Should it only work on non-lethal mutations?

Ooooh sounds nice >w< Personally though, I'd have it for all mutations. Why not lethals? :P If people want to hide a mutation, I feel like they'd hide a lethal, like harlequin itchyosis. So you could actually see what they're supposed to look like, while still being a lethal.

In all honesty, I feel like this item wouldn't be worth it for many people /unless/ it could be used on all mutations. If we had to exclude a group, I'd say hybrids honestly?

Really it all comes down to pesonal preference. Generally people with Leopons and lethals WANT to see the unique art, but hey it dosn't harm anything it they would rather use something like this, as long as you can take it on and off. :)
Plus you can use lots more decor this way, if that's your thing.

This has been suggested a few times and Xylax rejected it the first time:

To be fair, though, that post explained it much differently, and she was focusing on just re-selling, not for decor purposes (like Tiger's Eye or Translucent Jellyfish). (Also, that was back in 2015, now that we have more things similar to Tiger's Eye, I see no reason why this can't be included too!)

This has nothing to do with reselling. TBH the main use I see is for people's KINGS who they would like to change appearance but still pass their genetic mutation. Same idea as the lab test frog, really. The coded *that* well enough and it's very popular, so what would the issue be with this idea?

Firecracker has a point, that was 3 years ago and by the looks of it that thread was a trainwreak anyway, people going on about sexuality and such, what the heck. XD

It's simply another appearance modifier. It give flexability with appearance, allows you to utilize more decor, but is not permanent like safrou fruit.

Maybe if I explain where the suggestion comes from....
The whole idea started when I was designing my side king. His color and markings look bright and rich on the default male pose, plus he has savage mane, which I love and would be lost appearance-wise on a primal. When I switch the wardrobe over to the primal variations the colors amd marks become muted and fuzzier. This is fine and all well and good as I know it's part of the fuzzy look the primals have, but I just don't think it suits my particular design. All this being said, I would prefer he was a primal so he'd have the chance of primal offspring. I figured that if we can have male lions who look females and adult lions who look like babies, and it dosn't affect their genetics, why not this?


It does look like quite a few people like this suggestion. Perhaps Xy could rethink on it a bit in this context?

One person suggested it be a button, like hide decors, so that you can just hide the mutation without just spending SB/GB on it.

Support, like not all want a Achromia or Melanism covering their nice looking lion. But still don`t want to remove mutation if they sell it or regret hide it.
