Often I decide when they're fully grown whether or not I'm going to or can keep them, and when a pride gets massive and there's 10+ cubs born any one day, a ton of NCLs you've just claimed for your breeding project, and lionesses/cubs you've recently purchased as well, it takes a lot of time to rename them one by one.
It would be so much easier to just have an option similar to the 'move lions' toggle where it just makes their name editable. That way all lions organized into caves using the move tool can then also be mass renamed

I've often decided to change the theme of my den and had to go through the process of renaming all my lions on both accounts and it's a pain going through them all.

Sadly I don't support this because I can already see a few problems with this, first of all how can you see that witch lion you are renaming if all of them have names such as "cub" -or something like that- and no image of them.

Secondly, this problem can be avoided if a certain order is kept in your caves all the time. I am sure that there are many tips on how to keep up with organising your den and caves at all times.

Instead an option to move several lions between caves would be much more useful and a way to ease this problem as well. c:

There is already an option to move several lions between caves. If you click on the cave the lions you want to move are currently in and scroll down below them, there's a clickable chunk of text that says ' move lions'
It adds a checkbox next to all lions in the cave. Simply check the ones you want to move and select the new cave you want to move them to.

I've got two kids at home, and school on top of that. When it comes to renaming lions, going to every individual page, renaming, then having to go back to the cave because the new name has moved their place in the line-up is honestly insanely time consuming.
This is a very casual game for me, when I'm naming lions It's often just so i can find them easier in drop down menus(eg the broodmother menu) or because i like them when they've reached adulthood so I'm keeping them.
When I've got anywhere between 2 and 20 or more cubs born a day, i don't have an hour to sit down and click through to the wardrobe on each one to see if I'll like them as an adult, then rename them accordingly. I get on long enough to check my cubs for mutations, feed them with the feed all tool, hunt, explore, and then go back to tending my young children.
All I'm asking for is another text link like the move lions one I described before that turns all names editable. That way i can scroll through a group, rename all cubs to their mother's name with a number so I know who they are later when they're no longer below her, and move on with the routine.

This would also be helpful for users who theme their caves and want to change themes and therefore names.

Or, for a more versatile version of the tool, having the link jump to a basic page with thumbnails of each lion in the cave and their name beside the thumbnail to be edited. Either way would be immensely helpful to a busy student/mom

I hope that the new feature will be added to help out everyone with similar problems. But now that I think about it, it might take a part of the purpose of this game away. It would make everything "too easy" and those so called "breeding factories" might increase taking away the rarity of some things.

But then again, mass breeding isn't a new thing and if such a simple "quickly name everyone" feature makes your gameplay time shorter then why not. I support, at least for those who would actually save some time.

I don't want to seem rude because I have really long work days combined with studying making my life busy as well, just having the quickly name everyone feature won't save that much time, considering that you still have to check their markings and worth etc.(witch, I don't think, can be done very quickly). So I really do recommend considering your priorities if your time is valuable to you. c:

Oh no, you're not being rude at all. I don't do much buying/selling of lions so I don't rename based on markings/base/etc, so I do understand how a feature like this wouldn't be very helpful to those who care a lot about markings and bases and what not. When i do rename, it's for the purpose of keeping them because of their parentage or because they look okay, not for selling purposes so I don't do worth checking or any of that time consuming stuff.
I just like having pretty lionesses to replace the ones that age out and to create a decent heir for when my king ages out xD their names end up just being random names I like that are unrelated to the lions themselves, hence why mass- renaming would work so well for me.
I understand it wouldn't work well for everyone, but for my purposes it would be awesome

There could be like a small pop up window to see the basic info of the lion to make it easier for all users of the mass renaming.

And what a shame that you don't sell your lions, they are all so pretty :"3 Your king is so handsome too, I would love to have a stud from him if you some day decide to open him for studding. c:

I'd mainly use this for marking ncls who've got cubs (which would already be named) to be kept, which is a big thing I get irked with. Also would have been very useful when I decided to mark all my clean and non-clean lined lions, who were already in caves but I shuffle around sometimes. Hella support. Especially with my laggy ass computer after making it pull through doing digital art.

I don't think I'm understanding what is actually being suggested Is it like you can give them all a random generated name, or... I literally don't get the point of renaming all your lions the exact same name(even if you can check off which ones), which is what the original post sounds like to me. Are you trying to suggest a place or page where you can rename them instead of having to go to their page?
