So, I was researching mutation's for a school project and I saw this mutation called Erythrism and I thought that it would be a cool mutation. Erythrism is a congenital condition/mutation of abnormal redness in an animal's fur, plumage, or skin. ![]() Here's what it looks like on a lion. I thought the mock-up would look something like this? ![]() This lioness has a bronze base, a feline 6 onyx marking and yellow eyes. Sorry it's not good :"( If someone can make a better one, can you help make one? ![]() This is just the base. I used the layer blending "add". Consider Supporting? |

The golden tabby tiger is a good example of Erythrism along with the pink dolphins that are occasionally seen. I haven't seen images of lions with the mutation. ![]() |

It's the whole lion is different color though? It's like melanism, except there's an excess of red, rather than an excess of black ^.^ ![]() |

Yes, it's "excess red" which makes them more golden/peachy in color. Here are some more examples of "Golden Lions". ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can see the pink skin of the nose and mouth (which is normally dark/black on most lions) as well as the pale paws. The coat is also lighter and more bright. I like the idea, but not really a fan of the mock-up. It looks much too dark/purplish to me. ![]() |

Okay, thanks for clearing that up! Its really a different sort of mutation than I'm used to seeing. ![]() |

It’s an excess of red and orange pigments! And it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! ![]() |

I support but here is the one issue I see. The amount of coding with the markings. If there was a preset base, then we might have a better chance of seeing this mutation. ![]() |
