In domestic cat genetics, a small white spot on a cats chest is called a locket. So, when petting my adorable cat who happens to have a locket (his name is Oli and I love him a lot), I thought, what if there was a marking that gave your lion a locket?  This is what I have in mind; a small, simple spot on the lion's chest. It could just be white, or maybe there could be versions of it in other light colors. I just think it would be a cute addition; the other chest markings are a lot larger, but it might be nice to just be able to add a small splash of white. EDIT: I think this would fit it nicely with the new markings released friday: a small marking to add more flavor to a specific part of a lion |

This is cute! One of my ginger boys has this marking (it's the only white he has) and he's a little wuss, so we say it's his mark of courage.   0 players like this post! Like? |

Support! I absolutely love this! I have a black cat with this marking on her chest. I've always thought it was so beautiful. Other markings I would love to see on Lioden are Sheeted (this is what my other cat has), European Mottled (my third cat has this marking), Finnish Mutation (I had a cat with this before), Moscow Mutation (also had a cat with this) and Skunk Stripe (my first cat had this). Other ones I'd love to see are Banded (my friend's cat has this), Swirled (mom's cat has this) and Karpati (aunt's cat has this as well as the Finnish Mutation). But, I am all for this locket marking! I think it would look good in Black, Bone, Brown, Chert, Chocolate, Coral, Cream, Dark Brown, Fallow, Gold, Heather, Henna, Mahogany, Mocha, Onyx, Quartz, Red, Royal, Saffron, Scoria, Shell, Silky, Silver and White. I also would like to see it in Blue and Lilac! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I was actually gonna make a suggestion for this marking myself, but I thought that I might as well look to see if one was already made, and it has! This is a fairly old thread, but I'd be very happy to see this marking implemented, even if it was just in the one color (white). I used to have a cat with a white locket, and I'd love to be able to make a tribute to her. It's simple, so I doubt it'd be that hard to implement, even with all of the different mutations and poses! 0 players like this post! Like? |
