Honestly, I have zero interest in hybrids (not too interested in most mutations, except Primals and that's just because I love prehistoric felines).

So I'd probably sell one if I had the incredible random dumb luck to get a first generation Tigon. Depending on how new they were at the time, I'd definitely not accept less than what a leopon goes for (so probably 500 GB) if they were "common" by that point. If I got one of the first tigons? Probably at least 1000 GB just because I know someone would pay to have it!

I like the Mandarin base a lot, but the hybrid part doesn't interest me over much. I know I could keep one and sell heats, but that's a lot of effort and trying to coordinate and stuff. So I'd probably just end up selling and maybe ask for a Mandarin cub in return as part of the payment.

When first gen Leopons came out they sold for 1200gb, and second gens sold for 700gb, so that's probably how I'd price tigons

Mandarin base would probably be worth around 100gb a cub, maybe more since it's medium, and Cubs with the tigon mark would probably be around 30gb a cub

Given these are new, I could see them being worth more than even debut Leopons.

Either way, I just want the mandarin base. Hope my deal appeals to the tigon breeder(s).

I've seen 1200-1500GB still offered on first gen leopons within the last few months, so given that their novelty value has long worn off by now, I get the impression there’s maybe more GB floating around in general than there was when pons first came out.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if tigons went for 2000 or more, especially those first one or two that will be ridiculously popular after months/years of hype for the new hybrid... Mandarin base seems to be well liked already from previews too, so maybe 100-150+ GB for the first few? I dunno, I could be way off base though. I don’t have that clear an idea how much GB the richest LB stat/pon/etc breeders have these days, but tigons would be the next obvious thing for people to spend big money on.

If it were me (which I’m sure it won’t be) I’d probably just sell the tigon straightaway. I hate all the hassle of arranging reverse studs and selling heats, so if I decided not to keep it myself I’d set up an auction for pure GB or whatever and just sell it to the highest bidder tbh

Me thinks Mandarin is gonna be like when Sunset first came out, tbh. Crunchy worms may affect that though, since you could just quick-pass with one.

That’s true, I hadn’t really considered the crunchy worm element. Partly it would depend on time of year tigons drop too I suppose. If it’s close to Feb/Sept and everyone has a ton of barks, worms, balls etc I would think that would affect the rate mandarin spreads and the prices they fetch

Not a lucky person so probably won't ever get to own a leopon or tigon of any generation.
Certainly do not have that amount of GB so buying not an option.
They are pretty to look at though.

I just want mandarin. If I got a Tigon I'd straight up just raffle it after breeding a mandarin. Maybe even give it away for free.

I assume as a first gen pon with full heats is about 1200-1500GB on average but can go up to 2000GB.

Based on that I assume a first gen tigon will be 3000-5000GB and a 2nd gen + will be 1000-3000GB this depends on:

How many first gens are obtained
How many 2nd gen tigons are bred
How many users desided to sell their 2nd gens
How many breeding items are used
And more.

As it is not February so there are low amounts of Buffys and GoPs leading to. People not breeing their tigons/freezing them on their side. Once February rolls around expect a influx of the mutation to a peak then it will slow down as Barks and buffys will not be easy to obtain anymore. By February expect those numbers to go down and tigons being cheaper due to how many exist in game.

I like the idea of a tigon discussion!

I agree with earlier assessments that Tigons (1st gen) will mimic the leopon market, and sell for upwards of 1200 GB - possibly even upwards of 1500 GB - and that 2nd gen will go for around 800 GB. The lucky person who breeds the first tigon will, I suspect, find themselves swamped with offers that might exceed 2000 GB, and could become reaaaalllllly rich if they decide to sell their tigon/ enter into lots of mandarin-base breeding deals, etc.

I think the prices of tigons will slowly decrease, like we saw with leopons, until supply and demand are more evenly balanced (that February price drop ) Mandarin prices will drop faster, thanks to crunchy worms,

I'll buy a tigon eventually, after the February explosion. Then I'll spend the rest of my time complaining about its inability to produce more tigons, just like I do with my leopons currently, and regretting my initial purchase
