I recall hearing about this but I can't quite remember where. I was thinking about a toothless mutation, though, and I feel like it's a good idea.

The lion, in battles, wouldn't be able to bite and would probably have a stat drop. I guess no hunting, becoming king, or patrolling COULD be reasonable. The art change could be in cubs (they roar) by simply removing teeth, and if the artists were willing to create a pose for the lion that showed off his missing teeth that would be pretty neat. At the very least they'll look more gummy.

I don't want it to be fatal. In lioden, many things are unrealistic and blind, eyeless and dwarfed lions survive, so why wouldn't a toothless lion? I do think that the hunger should go down quicker since it would be difficult to eat without teeth.

EDIT: Food only restores 30% of the amount of hunger it would've since the other 70% "dripped out" of the lion's mouth.
