Yes, I know, another suggestion from me today! I just have so many ideas in my head I have done some research, and on VERY rare occasions cubs (and other canines/big cats) are born with their back legs splayed outwards. These cubs do not live long due to severe problems with moving. I unfourtunately don't have any art or drawings of it at this time but here are some pictures: Warning-- Images may be upsetting for some people. Puppy - Link Kitten - Link This mutation isn't to be confused with Swimmer Syndrome, as Splayed Legs (or Splayed Leg Syndrome) only affects the back legs, and not the front. Animals with Splayed Legs can sometimes be saved with human treatment. But on Lioden, of course, there are no humans to treat it so the cub would (sadly) end up dying because it cannot fend for itself. I am not sure at what age a cub with Splayed Legs would die. Nor am I sure whether it would actually be classed at a 'lethal' mutation. I need opinions for this! |

I like it, it occurs across all species with legs I think! The only treatment would really be with leg binders or something like that, which lions can't obviously do, so this should certainly be a lethal mutation. Since it impacts mobility badly, I'd probably put it at the same life expectancies for other deformities of the hind legs in lioden (sirenomelia?), so maybe they'd die by 5 months old. 0 players like this post! I think this would be super cool mutation to add! Based off the other lethals for consistencies sake I'd assume they'd die naturally between 4-6 months or something (Looking at Mutations like extra limbs and Sirenomelia). Give or take the conditions without interventions they could live longer in real life but all our lethals die at most at 6 months. Definitely support, would love to see more lethals. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Actually, the cub could survive. It would probably only die if its leg were immobile, which i'm assuming is not the case. They'd still be able to move around , knead for milk, and communicate! Instead of it being lethal, maybe it would be unable to be kinged, hunt, or breed. Breeding, mostly because the splayed leg would make breeding very awkward and painful for both the male and the female. I don't supporrt, mostly because ti think they'd be able to survive 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe a death text like: (Lion/ess) was found dead at the edge of your territory covered in wounds and bite marks, another lion must've got to them and they couldn't defend themselves" or if they're a cub and they die due to it "Due to being unable to get milk before his/her siblings (cub) pas at adolescence or late cubhood but if they end up surviving to adulthood they are infertile as a lioness. if the mods make this like the blind and deaf mutations they'll have a chance of reaching adulthood. 0 players like this post! support, although i never find myself interested in owning lethals, this one is quite interesting. i like it. i already have the ideas of what the cub model looks like in my head - since, the links to the images have expired/don't work anymore. i do feel like there is not a need for more lethals, but this one can be promising - i'd definitely see myself owning one of these if they are added in the future. 0 players like this post!
