So you know how you can't craft decor with buried items, right? Ex. I have 30 flamingo feathers buried and 6 in my hoard because I forgot to bury them. Out of those 30 feathers for crafting, I only have 2/30 accessible. And seeing that i'm a rather neat and tidy person, i'd prefer to keep those 30 feathers buried rather than digging them all up and reburying the ones that I didn't get to use. This would make things a lot easier and would keep my hoard way more tidier as I have so much junk, crafting items, and stuff of the sorts. If you don't support, i'd love to know why! Edit: I'm starting to lean more toward the indicator of "you have (number) buried) now, thanks to Elosie (#4562)! I was thinking stuff like this but if anyone has any better ideas, they can add on to the thread and if I like it enough, i'll add it to the post! |

The bury function is there specifically so that you do not use/sell certain items accidentally, so adding this would negate its purpose. I totally get where you're coming from with the organization/digging up/reburying, but I'm still gonna have to say no support. I'm pretty adamant about being organized, but I craft decor so much that I just have to leave those craftable items unburied. Reburying items you don't want to use individually is tedious, yes, but there is a function to help with that too - the organisation tab in your hoard. It lets you bury/dig up entire stacks of items at once. c: 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Mystery whaaaat, you're telling me that I could easily bury an entire stack of something without a lot of time being consumed? if i knew that, i wouldn't of even made this thread the feature with "you have (number) buried" would be a neat one though so I wouldn't have to dig through my hoard full of stuff though! 0 players like this post! I'm gonna have to say no support for the same reasons Mystery stated: it negates the purpose of burying items. I would support an indicator that you had the items buried, if you'd like to tweak the suggestion, but I'm afraid I won't support just being able to use items in the buried hoard. 0 players like this post! No support, sorry! The only reason is that I feel it's very easy to just dig up the feathers, and re-bury the leftovers (if there are any) as well as the decor with organization. It seems just a bit unnecessary to make a whole new button for such a simple process. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I actually DO support this. The indicator especially would be lovely, because having to constantly check what I have buried is tedious and a waste of data. And for me, I use the bury feature to mostly keep myself organized and my active hoard uncluttered: I have really bad anxiety about things I'm not immediately using, on my personal desk and any in-game inventories. So being able to have an OPTION to craft with things I've buried, rather than having to do the back and forth, that'd be great. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support, I use the bury function to organise my hoard and I don't like having to go back and forth between the crafting screen and my buried items screen trying to add up what I have. Especially since some of the newer decors have multiple items that go into them (lookin' at you, Feather Body Ornaments). It's much faster and simpler to see what you do and don't have in your hoard all on one page. Since some people use the bury function to hide their stacks and items though, maybe instead of having a separate "craft from buried" button, you could just add a clickable text indicator (like on the flamingo decor) to unbury them. Like "You have 30 Senegal Feathers buried. *Unbury them*?" and if you click on that text, they get unburied and then you can just click on the regular old, single "craft" button. 0 players like this post! No support, sorry! I agree with mystery It is tedious even more so on mobile but burying to secure them also is Besides, buried items also have their own tabs separated by category (amusement, decor and so on) and you can dig up stacks. It's not something that I particularly find useful and I see more bad than good in it UNLESS it's a new category of half buried items that can be used but kept out of the "main" hoard (maybe it would help people who have feed all/ play all and auto nesting enabled. I for one save the elephant/lion skulls for a emergency in case I need SB and save up more valuable carcasses to sell) but that's just me 0 players like this post! Like? |
