So I'm going to to talk a bit about a thing that probably has annoyed us all in one point; Starter males. As we all know the rolled lions, the first ones we get are not always very... pretty. And you need to look at it... For 12+ Lioden years unless you can use some real money/go trough some good events. I don't mean starter males should have special bases/markings, but they could be prettier, and fix to that is quite easy; 1) Let us design the rolled lion. 3 markings max, using only those you can usually get from NCLs / or from rolled lions. Same with manes (Scarce, normal, etc). This way the starter lion doesn't look like a sack of potatoes, but it doesn't crash the markets/give unfair start. Some good examples what you could do this way; Nothing super unfair, but definitely better than this; Other suggestions if above one doesn't pass: 1b) -Let users create 'rolled lions', those can appear when one rolls a new lion and has to chose one of 6 (?) designs. Same rules apply as above; max 3 markings and only those than can appear on rolled lions normally. 2) - Lock the opacity (of rolled lions) markings to 70-100%. You can see all the possible markings from here |

The amount I support this is -deep inhale- I had to work my butt off to get some GB just cause I couldn't stand to look at my starter male, it'd be awesome to be able to actually have a little bit of say in what you get. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yup. This change wouldn't make it unfair to older players, but it would make it more pleasurable to new players who has no other way to make their kings better looking than using real money! c: 0 players like this post! Like? |

i dont want to use my money- i need to pay bills and stuff- so having a good starter king without GB use would be fantastic! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support, I had to get 10 GB from a friend to force retire my first boy at 12 years old to get my very handsome 10/10 second king who she also gave me. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I agree on all points, except the opacity ratio. NCLs do not roll with opacity in 80 - 100% threshold only, so I don't think a rolled king should, either. Maybe they could have a higher chance of hitting high opacity marks when they roll, but I don't think the ratio should be that high at all. I'm someone who has invested a LOT of real-life money in getting high-opacity pride members, and it is part of my entire game-play (high opacity goals). High opacity markings on a lion produce higher opacity markings in the offspring if bred with a lion that share the marks at a high opacity as well. That means once a rolled king has been upgraded a little with some event applicators, there is basically not much more effort required in upgrading markings - unless you intend on changing the entire look and not basing it around the existing design - and if you were planning on changing the entire design anyway, then there would really be no need for the rolled lion to look any better in the first place. I wholeheartedly support the idea of kings rolling prettier than they currently do, and I think they should be able to roll with event markings too, maybe (ie, siamese, ridge, etc); but I don't feel like the opacity should really play a part in how they roll. So, I support to a degree but haven't yet hit support, simply for the reason I stated above x'D If any of that made any sense at all. Edit: Although looking back, I think I may have misread and the opacity thing wasn't part of your own suggestion? XD 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 22/04/18 @ 14:03:01 by CALA (#105146) |

Ah the opacity was meant in the case that the first suggestion (you can create king with 3 markings) fails, so in that case the rolled KING gets 3 markings (random) with +70% opacity :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

I SUPPORT I SUPPORT! My roll lion was just.. ugly, to say the least. A player kindly gave me 10GB to retire him though, so now I have my current king. Anyways, yes the roll lions look very bland and boring. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Absolutely support! My first king was a markless sack of yellow - no, really - and it really sucked the enjoyment out of starting up when I was stuck having to stud when I wanted to save for better things. I didn't keep a single one of his cubs 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 23/04/18 @ 02:01:55 by 💫Izumakoto (#111711) |

Yup, it's a real shame you need to either look at that potato to the end or use $5 to get rid of it :/ 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is such a great idea! But I think that if players who are just starting are to be given the choice to make their own rolled lion, then those using the Reroll Lion item from Monkey Business or picking the choice to reroll upon retirement of their previous king should have it as well. I feel like it should be an addition to the already made lions offered, so new players have the choice to just pick one of those if they are overwhelmed, or simply want to get on with things. Also, I'd like to point out that rolled lions are generated with wild traits only right now, so the custom, exclusive and breed only traits shouldn't be allowed in the "make your own lion" option, either. 0 players like this post!
