The story of cats versus dogs is a well known and infamous one, but the political relations on one strange and remote landmass bring the age-old feud to a new level.

Six moons after the brutal murder of a young Solclan apprentice — the first inkling of the Mudclan rebellion — tensions and anxiety about the canine threat have become overshadowed by the collapse of a once-powerful clan. Dwelling in the thick southwest jungle and the islands surrounding it, Shadeclan was made up of tigers, the striped behemoths rivaled only by the lions of Solclan to the north. But tigers are solitary by nature and while they had been able to mold into the precedent originally set by the lions and thrive in a group, rising tensions between the clans and differing opinions among individuals proved too much for the faction and its fragile fraternity. The cats went their separate directions, those who preferred seclusion disappeared into the trees, but those who relished the life of a clan cat migrated to one of two remaining clans. Now, as Roseclan and Solclan receive the influx of striped refugees, Roaring Calls have been postponed and the Mudclan threat, placed temporarily on the backburner, begins to bubble back to the surface and now threatens to boil over.

In the swamps of Mudclan, the militant Ratstar returns to her leaderly duties after a time caring for her own addition to the next generation. After months of rest and nursing, the hyena is ready to once again take up arms against the cats and lead the rebellion. But even with Shadeclan a thing of the past, she cannot defeat the big cats alone, and thus may need to employ the help of an unexpected visitor…





•THE CLANS•

•Solclan•

A pride of lions headed by [LEADER], [DESCRIPTION]. The clan occupies a hot, arid plain of savannah dotted with caves both underground and on the surface where they make their home. The hunters find hearty meals in the numerous gazelle, impala, giraffe, antelope, and zebra that roam the plains. Unlike normal lion prides, more than one male is allowed and they may love any lioness they choose.

•Shadeclan•

A once close-knit group of tigers previously led by Scorchstar, a powerful, brutal male . Their territory consisted of dense jungle, several small islands, and a maze of rivers. As a result of rising tensions and instincts they’d thought were buried, the secretive clan split apart. Now, the populations either roam alone in the jungle or venture to find refuge in the neighboring communities.

•Roseclan•

An amalgamation of species, Roseclan is governed by a well-spoken snow leopard named Swanstar. Just like its population, the territory consists of several different climates: Snowy mountains, forests, plains, and a small section of jungle overlapping from Shadeclan. All sorts of prey are found here, from hare to deer to mountain goats.

•Mudclan•

Home to hyenas and all species of canine, especially wolves, dholes, AWDs, jackals, coyotes, and the like. (Due to lack of humans, there are no domesticated dogs.) This clan is ruled by the militant, tough spotted hyena called Ratstar. The canines live in the unwanted section of the island: a murky swamp populated by snakes and various ilk. The prey here is sparse, so the canines rely on catching the large boas, caimans, birds, boar, and odd deer that can be found in the territory. When not enough food is available, Mudclan dogs may even resort to thievery.



•Rules & Guidelines•

• All LioDen roleplay rules apply.

• Powerplay and godmodding are unacceptable. You WILL be called out.

• All mature content must either fade to black or be taken off-site. Mild violence and innuendo should be fine so long as you are mindful not to overdo it and respect the boundaries of your fellow roleplayer.

• This is intended to be an literate/advanced roleplay. You will be required to post at least one paragraph (5 sentences) with proper spelling and grammar. Occasional writer's block is understandable.

• Please be active. Let me know if you are taking a hiatus or need to drop the roleplay. Keep in mind if you take a high position and disappear without warning, your character will be replaced to keep things moving.

• DO NOT answer questions from/accept the bios of brand new RPers. Direct them to me instead.

• You may have as many characters as you wish so long as you are active with all of them.

• PM ME AN RP SAMPLE BEFORE YOU POST A FORM. If you don't, I will automatically reject you.

• Swearing is allowed in moderation.

• Hybrid characters (ligers, tigons, leopons, lipards) as well as color mutations (albinism, melanism, leucism) will be limited. It isn't a disgrace within the clans, but very much frowned upon because of the heavy genetic defects. Color mutations will be more prevalent because of the limited gene pool, but they will be kept at a minimum of 5 per clan.

• The naming and ranking system used here is very similar of the Warriors novel series, but may be adapted to the environment and surroundings of the character.

• Hate the character, not the player.

•If you were in Rise of Mudclan, put ‘Yes’ in Other. If you weren’t, then put ‘No’ in Other and feel free to come to me with any questions!

• Cubs become Apprentices at 6 moons, Apprentices become Warriors at 24 moons/2 years.

• Limit 1x1. Please wait for at least three people to post after you before responding again. If it's been a couples days with no responses than feel free to go ahead and reply again.

• Your characters can't have a romantic relationship with each other. (This does not include flirting with your own characters if the one doing the flirting is normally flirtatious.)
