17th October, 2019: I am leaving these existing links up, however I am going to start working through some results in this thread (more recent to be honest, because a lot of lions are repped or dead now) and compiling them all into one spreadsheet and then categorized spreadsheets after that. Please keep posting results in the meantime :D <3 Attempts to crack the code for either of the new rosette markings. Feel free to collaborate and offer suggestions/scrying results :D CONFIRMED BREEDINGS FROM SCRYING Spreadsheet HERE marking comparison spreadsheet here *unfinished opacity comparison SPREADSHEET *unfinished 1 player likes this post! That would be awesome, Ghoul. I'll look into doing that myself in a little bit; hopefully it needs one of the parent markings in order to pass - it might help us narrow options, then! I'm thinking there might be multiple combinations for each set of rosette, not just the one - given the discrepancy in the markings in what we've seen so far. I'm going to do some checking between the Heavy and Soft, and see if I can pull anything interesting out of that. If not, I'm going to go back to my original hypothesis of using the opacity to gauge the markings - I mean, it obviously isn't a likelihood but I did get a hit on the two markings I mentioned earlier, but I think perhaps there is another factor that needs to be taken into account. The scrying continues xD 0 players like this post! Like? |

New theory What if the colour of a marking has an effect, kind of like base combos? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I updated the main post with a link to the current confirmed spreadsheet, Sansa - it has all the marking information on each king and lioness paired, and the rosette marking result alongside it :D I'm gonna test a theory on the colour thing right now, I'll be trying Henna Cloud x Vitiligo 4 in an attempt at Red Heavy Rosette. I'll give it 150 attempts before I factor in another marking. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Just an observation, but all rosettes bred or scryed so far have a parent with 'Points' or 'Siamese' markings except for two, which both have a Feline 5 (one is Onyx, the other is Ebony) in common (which coincidentally resembles points and siamese, too). Probably nothing, but just noting it jic. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 28/04/18 @ 17:00:23 by CALA (#105146) |

46 attempts with the following pairing: King and Lioness - combination of Coral Luster; White Inverted Brindle and BOTH Feline 5 and Onyx Points In this instance, the marking overrides the Onyx Points. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Little human has woken up, so I have to stop for a while :3 Latest scry for my record to start again when I come back: https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794112795114 https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?mid=12445 115 (did get a random Cream Rosette though) Nothing happening with Onyx Points + Siamese + Mottled Rosette. Will add Under White 4. x100 between #29865 and #794109935547 = fail but did result in another random Cream Rosette. x50 to #931 and above lioness = fail x50 to #41038 and above lioness = fail with x1 random Ginger Rosette *Ginger Soft and regular Ginger Rosette both scryed out of F5 Ebony 0 players like this post! 62 scry attempts between King and Lioness I am now fairly confident that the following marks have something to do with passing SOFT ROSETTE: White Inverted Brindle Coral Luster Cream Marbled Unders Onyx Points Vitiligo 1 (other numbers likely) Possibility that it passes from other colours of each marking group. The first Soft Rosette (Ginger) had a sire with Ardor Inverted Brindle and the mother had White Marbled Unders. Therefore, I am assuming each of those markings will be necessary. I think there is likelihood of it passing from more than one combination, also, as shown with the mottled rosette results. 0 players like this post! Like? 77 attempts with this pairing King and Lioness Slot placement doesn't appear to play a factor *unless* the pass is Onyx Points : Ardor Inverted Brindle. Emphasis seems to be on Marbled Unders and Inverted Brindle, any colours. Possibly Coral Luster. Will now scry without Coral Luster. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm going to try onyx brindle and bone marbled unders (as on the ebony rosette cub) to see if I get anything. My king on here has bone marbled unders, and on my side I have white marbled unders so we'll see. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Awesome :D Look forward to the results! I'm presently attempting Ardor Inverted Brindle + Onyx Points + Prune Siamese against White Marbled Unders (no corresponding slots, to see if slot plays a factor). Good luck! x100 with #15283 and #521295122969 = fail 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 28/04/18 @ 19:13:18 by CALA (#105146) |

60 attempts with King and Lioness Slot placement does not matter. Coral Luster or Onyx Points may be a required factor? Leaning toward Coral Luster perhaps, as this cub is Onyx Point marked = unless it doesn't stop it from passing as well. No result from 100 attempts with Marigold Inverted Brindle and above lioness (no Onyx Points). 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 28/04/18 @ 19:35:01 by CALA (#105146) |
