Just a tiny suggestion. I think it would be beneficial to the userbase and the special base market if theres was some sort of DISTINCTION between the special bases instead of lumping them all under the same special umbrella. Anyone who's been here long enough knows that not all special are created equal. That is to say, not all specials pass in the same manner. I think we should make a distinction be specials like Fulvous, Slate, Amber, Buttercream, and Goldenrod and the colloquially called special-specials: Sunset, Sepia, Kimanjano, Mandarin, Skyward, ect. In particular, I think the special-specials should be called Exclusives. So for example: Kimanjano - Gold/Dark/Countershaded/Exclusive Fulvous - Gold/Dark/Countershaded/Special There would be no mechanic chane. Only an aesthetic one. If you disagree, please say why! |

HUGE support. It would make it more transparent and slightly more newbie-friendly. ![]() |

Whilst I support, my question is, what about combo bases? If 'Special Specials' would be reclassified to exclusive, how would you go about the combo bases, which are even more 'exclusive' to breed - not even mentioning how one combo base is in the common genetics (which I am still wondering about) so there would need to be a genetics overhaul/refitting. Combo bases are certainly not like regular specials, especially in that they also need specific parent bases to be bred/passed and I am not too sure about their pass rate. I suppose my point is that if a distinction is being made between hard to pass bases and regular special bases, then logically there should be a separate distinction for combo bases - which are certainly more temperamental that these 'exclusive' bases. ![]() |

Support. I think that's a good idea. Personally, Blue Pigeon, I would say Combos would fall under "Exclusive" because like the others mentioned, they are only able to be gotten under very specific circumstances, unlike other Specials which is just a lucky roll of the breeding dice so to speak. That would just be my personal recommendation/thoughts on it though. ![]() Edited on 01/05/18 @ 15:08:24 by Tau [HM|Çß] (#18630) |

Maybe do it color/shade/gradient/(special/exclusive/combo) This way, the bases are properly marked, and there's no confusion whatsoever. ![]() |

Sounds good to me. Maybe each thing could have a small '?' next to it and when you mouse over it, it explains what special, common, exclusive, and combo each are. Kinda like an item ![]() |

I like that! It'd definitely cut down on "wtf is a special" questions ![]() |
