Its ya person Ny again back at it with a suggestion Anyway they should let us send people things anonymously, like how during December you can leave anonymous gifts/poop. It would be nice. If someone transfers you something you dont want, you can regift it, throw it away, whatever. |

only if you can turn off anonymous transfers and people can't send messages while anonymous (otherwise it could be used for harassment) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Fine but I'm way too lazy to add that to the post. (I'm pretty sure if someone was being harassed mods could see who was doing it tho) 0 players like this post! Like? |

..this could be used for harassment :/ I don't know if anyone would really go this far but say I had a mutie or something who was going to age up the next rollover and I was offline. Someone who doesn't like me could send me an NCL or something so when I rolled over, that mutie would leave due to lack of territory and I wouldn't know who sent the lioness that made it happen. This would be an easy way to cyberbully someone without getting called out, and I don't think any mods would notice anything off about a lioness being sent to another player. 0 players like this post! Someone could do that without being anonymous. You'd be able to turn anonymous transfers off if you wanted to (just like you can turn all kinds of transfer off - or it could be a friends only feature). 0 players like this post! Like? |

Another solution would be to make it so that you have to accept or deny transfers, and until you accept, the contents are like they are in trades, or to make it so that you couldn't transfer lions anonymously. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The point is that if they were anonymous and they sent you a lion or something, you wouldn't know who did it. If you did know who it was, you could block them and/or Modbox the situation. It would definitely be nice to be able to accept or deny anonymous transfers but I feel like this should just stay in the December event. Items and currency don't really have repurcussions. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Anonymous transfers would likely be turned off by a great many people then; I know I hate receiving random sub males or NCLs from people who may want to give them away earnestly... or just clicked a random online user and dumped their lions on them. As it stands I can block the person or let them know I'm insta-killing these lions or send them back, but if they are protected by an anonymous feature they could just dump unwanted lions on others whenever they wanted to and might cause lions to run if done just before rollover. =C I'm not quite sure what the point of anonymous transfers is if it's friends-only; you could easily see the anonymous transfer message and just check which of your buds is online and acting super cheeky? But maybe that's just me. A few ideas to help prevent that, maybe?? I'm exhausted so I'm probably spitballing here, take this all with a grain of salt. - A 'block user who sent this anonymous transfer' button; it'd add them to your block list with a little default 'sent bad bad bad anonymous transfer' text in your reason for blocking. Pros is that it'd stop the user from using you as a NCL-storage center in the future, bad news[or good???] is that it'd reveal the identity of the anonymous person due to their ID popping up there and seeing clearly 'huh, this person on this thread has their replies hidden, but I don't remember-ohhh', so. not really anonymous anymore. - Some sort of rules update when this would be implemented specifying that excessive anonymous transfers of the unsavory/spammy sort can be reported and will be traced back to the user. Pros being that you'd discourage misuse due to potential consequences, cons being extra mod work and that it might be difficult to track down the user if the mods are only going off of screenshots. Maybe a button to 'report this anonymous transfer', which lets you write up why you're really irked by this thing + somehow allowing the mods access to who sent the items/lions in the code? Who knows, I'm not good with coding. - Make the default option to not accept anonymous transfers; let newbies and old members alike change that setting when they're up for it and maybe include a 'this user accepts anonymous transfers' note near the gifting/transfer option? Pros in that the many people who are not okay with mysterious gifts [namely, ick, NCLs or trash items] can avoid them by default and you can turn the feature on for anonymous gifting events/games/whatever; cons being... I dunno? Timid users not being able to gift to newbies who don't have anonymous gifting on? Just gift them normally, methinks? IDK. + I 100% support messages being unusable when sending things anonymously; transferring someone a Muddy Rat Carcass just for an easy anonymous way to be an ass would be pretty ugly. Even if a report/auto-block/etc feature exists for anonymous transfers, a lot of damage could be done before the user has a chance to block or file a report, especially if the harasser goes to their side account or has friends in on it. Hopefully some of these make sense; I'll withhold supporting or not for now just to see where the discussion goes. Could be a feature for the greater good and gifting and fun, so long as it's implemented in a way to prevent its use by the nasties, y'know? ;D EDIT: OH GOD THAT'S A BIG POST, sorry guys! 0 players like this post! Lol, Its honestly understandable though! I've made longer posts when I'm ranting about stuff. Lots of writing means there's a lot you have to say though, and that's always nice! 0 players like this post! Like? |

What if it was like normal transfers, in that you could specifically block anonymous lion/currency/item transfers but still have other anonymous transfers open? That would eliminate the risk of being sent unwanted items or lions if you don't want to be used as a dumping grounds, while also allowing people with more territory to accept anonymous lions if they want to. That would solve most of the problems addressed in the arguments against this suggestion, and would probably please most people. 0 players like this post! Like? |
