hey lioden! this is my first time having a go at base designing, but I thought this would be appropriate being that it's pride month, and that I am trans. this base is inspired by and a strong homage to the transgender pride flag. the main colors are blue, pink, and white. many trans people struggle with dysphoria; feeling intense unease or discomfort in your own skin, especially in relation to gender. euphoria is the exact opposite of that feeling! feeling excited, happy, and pleased with yourself. that's where the name idea comes from. (i'm not especially good at naming, so please lend me some suggestions if you've got something better!) edit: changed the name from euphoric to elation elation  lineless version (and of course, since I'm SUPER new to this, i encourage you to let me know how I can improve, or things I could make better!) EDIT: please let it be known that i would not like the meaning behind the base to be changed! i don't mind a new name, but the meaning is important to me, and i'd rather the base be ignored if it has to be separated. thank you for all the feedback!! <3 |

Saying "Transgenders", at least in the way I understand it, is like calling a woman a "female". It may be correct, but more often then not it comes off as dehumanizing, even if that was not the original intentions of the person.  0 players like this post! Like? |

Thank you for explaining. .i dont see it as dehumanizing. It really just sounds plural and just as if we said women and men So I apologize for it seeming that way (I used the term to) I'm friends with so many trans, gays, lesbians and more and all of them never said other wise and use it to ;-; whoops? I'm SUPER trans supportive and have felt feelings of dysphoria myself, but no support. If LD made this, they'd be taking an official stand and would probably have to make the other flags into bases as well. As wonderful as that sounds, people are gonna get cranky about it. As sexuality issues have to be in the 18+ forums, this base probably won't even be approved. I admire the idea though! 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support, just like Kovan (#116493) said up here. Its best not to make anything related to flags and sexuality in the game and that would cause some problems for community so, no flags related. The base is nice but lets just not call it trans flag. 0 players like this post! Like? |

My intake on this- Others may have suggested it but I love the idea of bases named not after the sexuality or pride but are based around them. Like maybe not only having a trans based pride, for it could cause conflict in "Why only trans pride base? Why not agender, bigender, non-binary, exct`" Which of course if you or others could come up with these other ideas, and instead of this just being about trans pride bases, what about we work together to try and create all pride bases? Like how yours has the sort of sparkles and such, but they are recolored to different flags/pride colors? oooooh! controversy aside, this is an awesome base!! Honestly I think it should be called euphoria, even just looking at it makes me feel happy and confident! And just calling it euphoria would probably avoid all the angry people, since it's just such a nice and happy-vibe base! If i had any suggestions at all, maybe make the pink on the back a little more vibrant and pink-ish? it seems a little more reddish at the moment :D P.S: I really love the sparkles  0 players like this post! I agree with fading angel on everything. I dont demand straight bases, so whats the point in asking for... whatever you are base. The base is nice, but Lioden in general should stay neutral. Next thing we'll be asking for is Jesus Christ base? No thanks 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Anthrax isn't "whatever you are" a bit offensive? idk if you meant it that way, but it seems like it was meant to be harmful. Anyways, I'm trans and I'm pretty neutral on the whole thing? The base is pretty and I really like the colors, but I can see how people would get cranky about it knowing the meaning. I doubt everyone on Lioden is as friendly so that may cause a lot of arguments. If it does get added, I'll be cool with it and I may even try and get a base for myself because I really do like it! If it's rejected, yeah sure I may be a bit disappointed about losing a pretty base, but ultimately that would be up for the admins to decide. 0 players like this post! Like? |
