hey lioden! this is my first time having a go at base designing, but I thought this would be appropriate being that it's pride month, and that I am trans. this base is inspired by and a strong homage to the transgender pride flag. the main colors are blue, pink, and white. many trans people struggle with dysphoria; feeling intense unease or discomfort in your own skin, especially in relation to gender. euphoria is the exact opposite of that feeling! feeling excited, happy, and pleased with yourself. that's where the name idea comes from. (i'm not especially good at naming, so please lend me some suggestions if you've got something better!) edit: changed the name from euphoric to elation elation  lineless version (and of course, since I'm SUPER new to this, i encourage you to let me know how I can improve, or things I could make better!) EDIT: please let it be known that i would not like the meaning behind the base to be changed! i don't mind a new name, but the meaning is important to me, and i'd rather the base be ignored if it has to be separated. thank you for all the feedback!! <3 |

Agreed, I like the color of the base but I don't agree with LD starting to have bases of this nature. Some people would interpret it as an official stand and that LD, by not having a base with their flag colors, isn't in support of them. It'd just open a whole can of worms. Decor and little explore encounters that are open to interpretation are fine but this would be treading into uneven ground.  0 players like this post! Like? |

No support. To be blunt, in my opinion bases should be that, a color base that everyone can use, regardless of whatever makes them be who they are. There's plenty of bases, markings and even decors people can use to design a lion with whatever gender or sexual orientation they wish to give them, there is no need to add an explicit trans base to make some sort of statement or make someone in particular to feel "accepted" - as others have said in previous replies, adding such a base would mean adding other statement bases so other people wouldn't feel left out. Gender or sexuality aren't things people have naturally labeled on their bodies, so why should it be like this? 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is a pretty base, but I do not agree with it being specifically for trans people. If it's known as a trans base, it will make people who aren't trans but think the base is pretty, feel like they maybe shouldn't have one. And maybe they'd feel guilty about having one, and/or feel completely left out, which is pretty ridiculous for a sim game. 0 players like this post! I am in no way against the trans community- but to link this directly to the base, most users who aren't trans and support the group are having to preface their opinions to avoid coming off as insensitive, I think this is a bad idea for that reason. LD has a vast community and a very accepting one at that but I can see this base causing issues like it is already doing in the thread here. I think it best to stick with the decor as gender and sexuality is such a large topic, if this is going to be a base some groups will feel left out and I can imagine this causing issues in regard to that as well, seeing as one user already commented on making a cis/hetero base but it being plain black/Gray tones. It's clear that some users already feel at risk of saying something and it being taken the wrong way just from looking at the comments. As previous comments have said also, there are sex changers/ the lab test frog and even the trans pride flag decor which are wonderfuland! 0 players like this post! I think the regular Pride Month decor is okay! It includes all groups so I doubt nobody'd feel left out. I do like the colors, but you have a good point about groups being left out. 0 players like this post! Like? |

i have an idea to stop people from getting left out. every june, they could release two pride bases. for example, next june they could do a two different pride bases, and every june they'd do two more. i'm not sure how difficult it'd be to make the bases, but this is just an idea haha 0 players like this post! I’m not going to support or not support, but I do think this may cause some discourse. When you bring in a base with the purpose of making some people feel included, other people will feel left out. I’m not saying that a base like this being implemented would be a bad idea at all, but it may be met with negativity. Nonetheless, this is a lovely base and seeing a lion that looks like this in the future would be amazing <3 0 players like this post! Like? |
