For the record, I do not support it because I don't like the base; I'd support it if I did, regardless of the idea behind it. I still think gender and orientation things are better suited for decors, as people then have the choice to use them or not.

Hello! Supported- I really like this base and the idea behind it!

personally Id suggest maybe an extra version with slightly stronger colours? right now it looks like low ardor/glacial markings on an albino. but is still very lovely!
I hope it gets more support and the people with borderline transphobic rhetoric in this thread learn how to be normal :)

I had something long I wanted to post but I decided to shorten in summary:

1. Most if not all of you did not complain about religion specific inspired bases(No matter how much you reach, the concept of Heaven/Hell will always be tied to religion, it's just treated as the default by media so you don't notice it)

2. If it was made literally no one is forcing you to own it if it was made real! You don't have to breed for it! And if you do by accident just sell it!

3. If you wanna keep whining about the inspiration rather than anything constructive how about just don't? Literally getting into debates about trans ppl and lgbt doesn't help at all this isn't construct feedback lads and if your only reason is for no support is because its vaguely related to trans people you know I'd reflect a little on how that sounds imo

It ain’t about what inspired it, it’s really the colors. I don’t get why people feel it’s gunna be pushed on people? I don’t rhink it’ll be called trans base, I think OP is just saying it’s BASED after the trans flag.

The inspiration bit matters because people in previous comments have decided that it matters, along with the original suggester and creator of the base. Usually I just support or no support art things because it's just a matter of personal taste if you like the thing or not, but other players supporting it just for the message behind it prompted me to share my opinion. I'd be okay with it making it to the game if came from an applicator - just October's bases, for example - because then it would be a choice to have it.

I'm not sure if the "borderline transphone" bit was directed at me, but even if it wasn't, that, right there, is the reason I think these matters shouldn't be brought into bases. Just because I dislike the base and I don't like the idea of any gender or sexualities being the inspiration for bases it doesn't mean I am a phobe of any sort, but it seems there are people who are unable to grasp that - and assume those disagreeing are all cisgendered straight people, on top of that, which seems hypocrytical to me. But leaving that behind, let's suppose this base makes it into the game, a player buys a lion with it for other reasons other than the base itself and changes it to suit their breeding project, for example. Would that prompt outrage from others, would others ssume they did it out of hate? Would this player be harassed for it? Blocked automatically for it?

I think the important bit is that we are all people, and bases should be a thing to be enjoyed by all. I won't reply further because at this point it seems it's only adding fuel to the fire

Since there's already lion pride accent decor made by the devs and not custom decor: why not make it a pride month base? Hell I'd love to see bases based on their matching accent decor.

I like this base, it's got some neat color blending, but I honestly can't support it after the several pages of discourse.

Firstly, in the quest to include, you'll inevitably leave someone out. So until we're at the point that our artist wants to tackle all of these at the very least, it seems best to just leave it to what inspires Xylax. And if it comes out with something you can use to build your own pride lion, do it! I did. My side king is trans-flag colored by use of cherry blossom and glacial marks.

Second, personally, as a PoC, I've always felt incredibly ignored by the lgbtq, and especially the trans community, so even we're not all that singular. Seeing trans flags usually just makes me :/

Yes, it’s pastel. Yes, I personally love colorbomb lions. Yes, it’s pretty. But there might be people with lions those colors who don’t intend on having it trans-based. I know I’d breed for those colors, but only because I like them, not because of the ‘meaning’. Sad as it seems, not everyone supports the community as others do, so that must be taken into consideration, as well as the fact of the large amounts of other flags that must be taken into consideration if this is accepted (as said by @Bezthiel).
And I don’t see why Cis-ness is a point to make in this matter. How are we ‘silly’, as you feel to call us? If I were to say the same, I feel as if I’d be attacked for being exactly as some here have said — ‘Transphobic’.

What about us rings ‘Transphobic’? Really, this is a serious question. From what I’ve seen, nothing had attempted to be said in these ways. If it’s because of these disagreements, then that is not something to call someone ‘Transphobic’ over. Just because someone doesn’t like this base or doesn’t agree with a point someone who is trans doesn’t mean they are transphobic. I’m honestly tired of seeing varieties of this at this point, as it’s at every corner I go to online.

After this post, I think I’ll switch my support. Not because I don’t like the LGBT community, not because I dislike the base, but because of what would happen after. Why should they stop at the Trans flag? Why not cover all the bases? Soon, that would be what’ll take over LioDen, and honestly, I’d like to see bases based on other things.

"Cis people are so silly" that right there. Pisses me off. I'm sorry. How would you feel if I said "transgender people are so silly"

I mainly think if you're going to make a base or a suggestion leave your gender/sexuality out of it. Lioden has shown its support to all the communities but theres a few suggestions that take it to far. Were playing a lion sim, and gender and sexuality shouldnt be reasons people support something. I get that the community wants more representation but you need to appreciate what lioden has done in terms of that for the community.

We dont need a base where the underlying meaning is transgender. We DO need a cute pastel blue and pink for the cotton candy lions. Usually if you are inspired by something controversial it's best to leave that at the door and propose something individually so all that controversy doesnt come back at you.
